The cardstock you use for foiling makes a huge difference... While I love the distress look, sometimes it's not what I'm after. After a lot of wasted foil and paper, I've discovered that a paper with a coating on it - not photo paper per se, but close - gives far and away the best results. Try the Hamilco white semi gloss 100 lb cover cardstock off Amazon. You'll be amazed at the difference
