FOLDED DECK BOARDS How To - THE MOUNTAIN PT. 8

In this video we will show you how to make folded deck boards for cool details like the armrest we are building on our custom bench. We use a V router to carve out the back of the deck board and then heat it up with a heat gun to fold it over and create a really cool detail! We also finish up the stone on the inside of the fireplace wall. and put the last touches on the Deckorators cable railing, including a custom section with a bar top.

Let’s get an update on those folded deck boards when it’s 90 degrees. Cool idea but I’ve seen trex expand 1/4 in the cold morning to warm afternoon

We’ve done them plenty of times in different weather and checked back years later and they still hold up great. This is deckorators decking, different than trex with almost zero movement
