Why didn't you use just a solid 6x6s for post from the ground up, instead of splitting the post into two sections then using the metal bracket on the topside of the deck?

Where is your 6 inches of gravel under and above the pipe? yeah yeah I know it’s only storm drain. If you use your level, there’s no point in using a golf ball because once you start packing, dirt it’s going to change anyway.
@Andrewjam93710 сағат бұрын
Yeah, looks great until you pack dirt on top of the pipe😂

So many variables not accounted for. I admire tradesmen, but this video only shows it working under these very set circumstances.

Problem with dimensional lumber is that 2ft away its 1/4” out of flush again.

I’ve done many, many jobs with lumber like this. Had no idea how messed up it gets

Where is the mid-span rotation blocking and the up lift hardware? When roof sheathing you don’t need to pre-cut the field mark and keep your layout and you can go back and cut your overlapping plywood. It faster and easier.

Screws will always be a better choice over nails speed is no good when it comes to doing it right the first time so you never have to go back nails over time can be shaken loose or pulled apart screws don't pull apart so easy you have to destroy the wood in order to pull it apart it may take all day but I prefer Strength over weakness I should know because I have a fence in my backyard when hurricane Ike came through every part that was nailed was scattered but everything that was screwed was still intact screws that I preferred over nails those comments about the screws were dead On.

Bro, screws are terrible to be built for porches and houses.You know what cause they break easy.Unlike nails, they can take a beat and bend.How far and then ray?Be back and get straight and still are way better than screws

I love this channel, I ABSOLUTELY DO, but a lot of designs are starting to look similar. The stone work and the exterior spaces look like most of the homes they work on. It's fine if that's what the client wants, but I want to see something outside of the box and some versatility. When I sub'd to this channel I was so blown away by what I saw, but now it's like.... "cool".

Are you a comedy video or more or less building a deck, at first I though he doesn't have any mexicans on the crew, how can he possibly build a deck without mexicans? Then I see the little fella, every crew should have atleast 2 illegal Mexican indentured servants, I mean workers, you guys are amazingly funny, this is probably the best video I've ever seen....the big dude with the hat, is that Jim carrey
@moose1164Күн бұрын
Hate to be that guy but the pitch of that roof is not enough. Water is going to sit up there and pool up then it will run off in large amounts instead of a consistent drip. Snow will stay up there til completely melts off.
