Hi Ann! Great video showing that we don't need to spend a fortune on tools and gadgets...except maybe to replenish the kitchen supplies we raided! LOL

Hey Pat, Hahaha... So true.I was. a bit worried that the bamboo sticks might not be strong enough for the pressure of the clay and the manipulation, but I didnt have any problems. Im sure there are many other things you can use around the house to make more variations of the ruffled bowls too.

Those are great! The one with the serving spoon was my favorite. It made an optical illusion when you were turning it. So cool! Thanks❤️🐝🤗

Hey Deborah. Thanks so much. I like that one too. Since I left it in the round mold until it was bone dry, the bottom was rounded and it spun around. I am so used to people telling me I needed a flat bottom for a bowl that it was fun to break the rules and my favorite part of it was being able to spin it around, haha.

There you go again! Your creativity is unending. Thank you for making these beautiful pottery pieces look so easy to create. I am anxious to try my hand at these. Great gift ideas after I make myself a few!
@annruel19828 ай бұрын
Thanks so much JSH. Go for it! I have provided all the templates that you will need and the instructions. Just be gentle when pressing the spoons, and if you are molding the pieces, remember to reinforce all areas that would be prone to cracking, then keep the piece in the mold until it is totally bone dry. Good luck!!! Have a great week.

I love them all ! I never thought a spoon can create such beautiful patterns and shapes 😲 WOW ! 🥰

Hey Easter. Me too. I always thought the handle would be the biggest problem for using it as a texture tool, but the solution of holding it over the edge of the table to give the handle clearance was the breakthrough. Thanks as always for watching and your support. 🙂

Ann, another great video x some lovely ideas, I think I liked the kitchen spoon bowl best, however the flower shaped base was pretty too😊
@annruel19828 ай бұрын
Hey Denise. My favorite was also the kitchen spoon idea , but Jim's favorite was the one that looked like a crown with the flower bottom. It is nice to have come up with enough ideas for people to get to choose, haha. Sometimes the rusty wheels in my brain loosen up and turn, and other times I need a little WD 40. 🙂

Such lovely outcomes! It's hard to pick a favorite. I did really like the flower pattern from the jig in the deep bowl...

Wow, those are beautiful bowls! I can't choose which one I like best. What is the best clay to use? I live in the UK. Thank you!
@annruel19828 ай бұрын
Hi Itswhatsinsidethatcounts! Thanks so much for the kind words. Jim and I really appreciate you watching especially from across the pond in the UK. Hello from Florida. Actually, I like a clay called Standard brand, English Porcelain #365. It is a little more expensive but it is a very forgiving clay and so smooth although it is so smooth that it also a bit finicky. I really had to learn what it liked and didnt like. Nice to meet you and good luck on your pottery journey. Ann

@annruel1982 Thank you! I'm only researching pottery atm, but I hope to make a start later in the year, as I'll be moving house mid-year. I've made a note of the type and brand. Again, thank you. Fi

I bought some cheap plastic folders for 50 cents that have sufficient thickness and rigidity for templates. Can be up 8x11" in a host of shapes.
