The card tray back would have required another sheet. This would have increased cost of the insert. I think it was a good thing to skip and save people money. Just remember there’s no bottom and not a big deal.

Australia map or the base map will either need to be separate or if included in box, will create lid lift. I plan on storing mine with the newly announced content.

@jbarr4184 yes that's what I thought... I hate buying inserts that doesn't cater for expansions... especially those that are already out
