Despite it not quite working out, it has given me some ideas on how to make a step stool I can keep flush with the edge of my bed and fold out of the way for when my elderly small dog wants on the bed at night. Thanks for aiding in the brain storming!

Hey Anne Marie, thats a lovely comment, thank you, really glad it inspired you!

Neat idea. Looks like it would hold up better as a chair for small kids.

Thank you! I did think about not including it, but that's not what this channel is about.

Thank you, but I can't take credit for the design. However I haven't seen anyone do it as a step stool... so I though it was neat.

I think you're on to something, with a little reinforcement it would be very sturdy

Why not a remake with thicker ply?? Looks like a good concept. Just needs a little development,

Hey Wayne, I would if my kids wanted to use it, but they all said they didn't.... so I am going to leave it and move on. I enjoyed the process of transferring and developing the design, and I hope you enjoyed watching it.

The angle was a bit off. And more surface for the step and the hinges. This happens when you cut corners and just download plans without doing user research. Anyways it was funny :)

It was funny to do a video where the end result didn't work so well, gladnit made you laugh at least!

You made a hinge pulling lever. Not enough support under the step.

Also toss the wood screws. Use flat head machine screws through the wood and and a tee nut or something similar.

Nice design though.
