I don’t know what “Rest in Peace” means, that’s just what people say, but he lived a good life, made a lot of people happy with his music and his upbeat style. PPM was a great act.

Our Magic Dragon has been fighting fiercely for a long time; now the pain is gone… not only a legendary musician, but a humanist, an activist, a loving father, and someone who has touched millions of lives…one of the greatest achievements is to have Made A Difference! Godspeed , dear Peter Yarrow! We will try to not let the light go out!

A cordial and kind man I would run into at various folk festivals. He once paid me a "left-handed" compliment, calling me the "Dylan of bass players" for my preference in using the electric bass versus an acoustic bass. Always a smile and a friendly word. Rest well, Peter, and thank you

When I was a little kid in the 70s, I would have my mom play Puff the Magic Dragon over and over. My dad is now battling the same cancer.

Peter, Paul and Mary was one of the greatest Folk groups of all time! I can still hear them harmonizing on “Leaving On A Jet Plane (which made John Denver famous as a songwriter),” “If I Had A Hammer,” “Don’t Let The Light Go Out,” “Blowin’ In The Wind,” and “Puff The Magic Dragon (which Peter Yarrow found the original writer of the poem which he based the song on after many years and shared the songwriting rights with him!). Rest In Peace and Power Peter.😢

PP&M were the impetus and inspiration behind my learning to play the guitar during my freshman year in college, 1965. I always loved the music, but even then I hated the politics behind the music. Yarrow’s leftist façade came off and he showed his true colors when he lured the 14-year old girl to his hotel room and introduced her to “Mr. Happy”… All I could think of was the line out of the “Talkin’ Candy Bar Blues” …. “Pre-vert, the kid’s life’s ruined” … and it probably was. The entire lefty “everybody-love-one-another-right-now” schtick was proven to be bullshit. It was really all about the money. From then on Yarrow and his leftist causes were ‘damaged goods’. “Le Pre-verter” “Men whose names are great, I am writing you a letter That you will read perhaps, if you have the time Men whose names are great, I only want the money So I can diddle that little honey, which is even a lot better Than writing you this letter” SP5 Old Curmudgeon US Army Vietnam Veteran 1969-70…. and still… Beaucoup Number Ten GI

PP&M were the first folk singers who made he realized that folk music was more than Michael rowing the boat. They exposed me to Bob Dylan’s and Gordon Lightfoot’s music and made me a confirmed folkie.
