I can't wait to see the regional videos. I love folklore (and myth and legend) from a historical and storytelling perspective. When you type "North American folklore' into Amazon or Goodreads or what have you, thousands of books show up and there's no way to know easily which ones are worthwhile. I find videos like yours invaluable to help me find ones that have real depth and insight and not just the same basics you can find anywhere.

I'm glad you recommended Owen Davies' Grimoires because that was the first book that popped into my head when you mentioned that his History of Witchcraft was very European centered.

I am just coming here to admit that I have your book checked out from the library and decided, on a whim and after having only read one chapter, to watch this video. I’m so glad I did! I really enjoy and appreciate your content, and I have to say that you’re just so darn charming, and just a wee bit nerdy (a compliment), and I now cannot wait to read the rest of your book. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for posting this. I really enjoy your videos and they have a very academic vibe.

I’m very interested in the folk magic used by Joseph Smith and the Mormons in the 1800’s. They used folk magic to find buried treasure. Do you have any resources?
