I've been practicing and FINALLY was able to paint a decent looking cabbage rose. Yayyy! Quite an accomplishment for this "when all else fails read the instructions" gal. One of the things that helped me the most was following Donna's instructions in one of her practice videos to first watch the video, then practice, then watch the same video again to see what you missed in the 1st viewing. I saw that I'd missed a couple of important things that made a huge difference. Thank you Donna for not giving up on us slower ones. 🤗

Staying at home today due to smoke in Seattle area. Might as well paint with Donna Dewberry. I have filled 2 pages with petal work. It looks easy, but it doesn't look just right until you practice over and over. My hands are learning to remember how to manipulate the brush. I'm feeling more confident each day. My mantra is: practice, practice, practice.
