I have it on my hips, butt cheeks and my legs took antibiotics the first time went away and it flared up months later for the second time this year. so since i don't like pills i looked up the Internet afterwards i started using antibacterial soap mostly tea tree oil and oil the affected areas with castor oil so now my routine is simple upper body i use any body lotion and my lower body i use castor oil it goes away instantly so I've decided castor oil is part of my life now 🥺

Do you also use a body wash with salicylic acid? And lotion afterward? Do you do any dry brushing?

Interesting I've had on my arms legs and back most of my life. I'll have to try this. For me it seems like my hair is too weak to punch through dried skin and also I think I produce thicker outer skin that doesn't flake off very well like most peoples. It's pretty daunting to think about making an effort at getting rid of it when I know most people dont spend time especially men doing stuff to their skin except cleaning and rinsing it.

Very good advice, and I wanted to add something because someone might have clicked on this video hoping for a cure , read and few comments but didn’t follow through. I had been suffering from folliculitis for approx 5 years. The first method I tried made it completely go away . It was a medication prescribed by my dermatologist , a cream that I was supposed to use sparingly because if overused it would tend to make the problem area more dried out, thereby more itchy. It had gotten so bad that I had the doctor order me a tub of the cream and I took a big handful and I couldn’t dab a little here or there because it had spread like a rash with bumps everywhere. As the itching slowly subsided, I went to a tanning bed salon and would do 7 min sessions every other day. I did this for about 1 month solid. It finally went away but it was winter, and I was under a lot of stress and I had got used to itching my skin and digging my nails into my skin and I didn’t realize just how dried out my skin really was. Later on, a tip from the internet made me order ALMOND CLEAR BODY SERUM level 2 which has mandelic acid which penetrates the skin. Make sure to order the 4 oz bottle not the 1 ounce. Immediately you can see the difference ..it’s like a very light oil that you put on your skin and rub it in. After 2 days of use I had noticed a significant difference on my hand where this stubborn patch of sores , was noticeable and always itching . Looked like a group of small warts. I could still see them at a particular angles when the light hit it but significant improvement. I’ve been slowly testing my leg areas . It hasn’t taken all the itching away but I am no longer having these bouts of scratching those bumps with my fingernails filed all the way down to where I can’t draw blood for 15 minutes on each leg. Eventually i give up because if I can’t dig my nails into the sore, then what’s the use. Also this CLn body wash is extremely helpful as well as my dermatologist recommending VANICREAM, lotion which you can get at most drugstores. The other items I purchased on Amazon.

I agree that the diet should be considered and corrected if need be but there are people that eat whatever and don't get a single pimple. So diet is maybe 5-10% of the issue and dermatologists should present patients with an active treatment and comment on diet after that just like this doctor did. Good job!

I have this all over my face under my beard. I'm in so much pain, I'm burning and itching - it's just mechanical. So inflamed follicles without it being bacterial or fungal. It's so distressing, it throbs when it really flares and I get little break between flare ups too.

Anyone suffering from this go buy head and shoulders clean and clear shampoo with pyrithione zinc. Doctors want to give you antibiotics and other harsh things when sitting at the grocery store is shampoo that solves it all. I suffered with razor burn and folliculitis for years and within a week it was gone. This condition is just bacteria and a overgrowth of yeast and is so simple to solve.

I want to make a spray bottle of apple cider vinegar he doesn't like the smell so will put a couple of drops tea tree oil to spray his .beard. Foliculitis is extremely painful. Bless

I am tired, I have been having this problem since I was 5, now I am 25 years old. I have used antibiotics, antifungal. It stops while on medication, but returns when I am off medication. When I am stressed or working in hot weather, it comes out painful and itchy bumps. But no hair loss though, I just decided to shave it completely. Even at that, give it a week when the hair grows out a little, it returns. What do I do.

I’ve been dealing with foliculitis on scalp for a few years now. Antibiotics (doxycycline) will calm it down, but then it reappears. It’s gets really bad, almost cyst like. I’ll try this, but if anybody has any recommendations, please chime in. The dermatologist say you can’t do antibiotics long term, and the clindamycin doesn’t work.
