I’ve got folliculitus currently on my arm. Started out as a spot but got infected after Jiu jitsu. Didn’t think much of it but I scratched it and spread it all over my forearm. New pustules everyday. Blisters etc. the doc gave me fucidin and tbh I think that made it worse. I came across a thread on Reddit where a guy used isopropyl rubbing alcohol. 70% is vital. That’s the percentage that staph can’t take. So I started doing it. Put some on a cotton bud and coated my arm in it in the morning and before bed. On day 3 and a very noticeable improvement. Itching is gone. Redness has gone down massively and it seems to be healing. Yellow and green puss in gone. It’s early days so I’ll come back and update in a few weeks. But this is the first thing I’ve tried that’s made any difference.

Just get some pure organic tea tree oil put some in shampoo and try it. My daughter has cystic acne maybe because she waxes her face, she has been on antibiotics for 1 year did not help. Now she uses sulphur soap to wash face and then uses water based moisturiser with the added tea tree oil , acne gone. You have to also cut out crap from the diet sugar and refined carbs.

Oh! Was it a new information that we should see a dermatologist? Then why did we watch your video and why u used the title treatment? Anyways fusidic acid or sodium phosphate ointments and antibacterial face wash used in mild quantity in order to avoid irritating the bumps is a better cure. Don't use alcoholic antiseptics or cider vinegar. Just don't forget to clean ur skin with antibacterial wash and then applying fusidic acid ointment thrice a day. Don't buy fusidic acid D ointment. Doctors even suggest minoz100 i.e. minocyclin, antibiotic tablets. Keep infected skin dry and don't scratch the area.

Doctors really irritate me. I've been dealing with this for a long time and all dermatologist do is give a rub on alcohol. First of all, it is no different than buying clearasil over the counter. Second, it does not work. I need to rub it all over my back and it is a large area to cover that you run out in no time, plus I can't even reach around my back,. Third, I keep telling doctors I need something to prevent it, not to just get rid of the pimples I already have.
@skinandhairdoc
@skinandhairdoc 6 жыл бұрын
Michael Williams i agree completely. If it is widespread you need a lot more than just a topical. There are other conditions which may require a biopsy and different diagnosis such as eosinophilic folliculitis , pityrisporum folliculitis, testosterone induced and follicular variant of atopic dermatitis. Diet may play a role but less likely. In some cases i will do a complete hormonal workup. Job history and work environment can also play a role.

brent lewis it is a soapy cleanser so I bought a facial buff to use on my face. I'm using a hand scrubber on my hair which I cut very short, then a I bought a body scrubber that looks like a bath pouf unraveled but has a bit more scubability. I had it on my face. It spread to my shoulders, back, arms and chest. And lastly spread to my head where it caused two bald spots that grew to the size of softballs. My face is clearing up. My arms and back are cleared up. My scalp is almost healed but the spot on my nape is a little slower in recovering. I only have the purple spots from it on my face that is now beginning to fade. I have also been using a soap bar for seborrhic dermatitis which is helping with the inflammation.

It actually occurs on my chin. Each time hair grows on my chin a small white head pus also appears on each area where the hair grows and it is actually painful. I am not drinking the antibiotic, but instead i apply it directly on the affected area and it is affective and heals fast just for few days. But my problem is after 1 or 2 months it is occuring again. Any recommendation to stop it from occuring?

Aditya singh there are more than 5 variations of folliculitis and more than half don't have anything to do with bacteria .. the other half has everything to do with inflammation .. so you could take all the pills in the world and still have it
