Pow! Loved it. I had to relisten a few times over the week because of all the background noise at home but THANK YOU:) Loved the concept of each book's name serving as indication of its content: Genesis = 'in the beginning', Exodus = names (& their meanings)! eg, Moses, son of ? yet Jehovah calls him 'Son of God'... all these paradoxes rich with meaning!

“Women Fashioning the movement” -Midwives, Moses’ mother, Pharaoh’s daughter, her maids and Miriam, how Dr Rivera linked it all back to Mother Eve and the creation is just WOW!!! Loved President Nelson’s talk in this week’s Come Follow Me lesson (A Plea To My Sisters) as well. ❤️ And then the meaning of the midwives’ names, I can see some babies (with unique spellings of cause) named after them in a few years, Go Utah Moms 😍😂

The daughter of Pharaoh l and the servant played an important role also. They help to raise Moses. This is all part of God's plan.

And think about all the other civilizations where war is made on babies...it's the same story over again...complete (eventually) with God saving/sending a savior/Savior to deliver His people from the adversary.

Couldn't Moses have read the great prophecies of Joseph in the libraries of the Egyptians about himself (Gen. 50:29,34,35 JST)? That would have called him out by name and he would have known that he was the great liberator of the Hebrews. I think the death of the Egyptian was probably self defense, but the rumors were that he killed him on purpose, I guess.

Great question! There is certainly a lot of backstory to the bible stories that we just don't have information on. Won't it be exciting when we can finally have our spiritual eyes opened to all things? ❤️

The Israelite women were hard working women. Even today women who are fit and keep working right up until they give birth have a lot easier time giving birth. Those who listen to those who want to stop moving around, and act like they are fragile, have a much harder time giving birth.

Interesting insight. Thank you so much for listening!

Great point, LOVE these natural birthing insights! Birth and Death should be more a part of our psyche but the modern world (Babyl0n) places no value - true reverence - on truly important issues. We can change that, one friend, family, etc. at a time.

This was my thought as well. Native American women, slaves working in the fields and rice paddies, and it sounds like the Israelite women as well - they'd work through their entire pregnancies and even the first part of their labour then squat down and give birth quickly, then were up working again. Unlike the pampered Egyption women (and most of us today) who have a much harder time.
