PLEASE READ, CHLOE! The marks you got from that necklace might have been an allergic reaction to nickel. Many people (women especially) develop nickel allergies by wearing cheap costume jewelry. If you keep exposing yourself you could develop more of a sensitivity. People who are, or become, really sensitive to nickel can't wear even a lot of high quality jewelry (sterling silver, gold-plated and gold under 18k) because it contains some nickel. Edit: I know because I've always had a nickel allergy and have done a lot of research on it. I'm not a doctor but if you put on some petroleum jelly it should help restore the skin's barrier and if it gets worse try an anti-histamine.
