Just to make one thing clear. Mahmut efendi died in a state of shirk. He was telling that he talked to Allah. Also he told in a letter that Malik Al Mawt came to take his soul but he rejected him. His Jamaat thinks that he is/was the middleman between the people and Allah. He also told that he is going to carry everyone over the sirat bridge in his pocket if they believe in him.

Your kind of thinking comes from people who don’t have knowledge of the Deen. If people were to stop sinning, Allah would replace them with those who sin and ask Allah for forgiveness. How many of Allah’s command are you and I disobeying right now? Many. How many sins do you and I commit in a day? Hundreds, perhaps. To say you cannot be devout Muslim while disobeying Allah (S.W.T.) is to say one must be an angel. You are accusing Prophet Adam (AS) of not being devout? He did eat from the tree. WHAT IS THE MATTER ITH YOU. Do not speak. Spend a couple of years gaining knowledge of this deen first.

"Their secret is in their following" Mate throw around as much jargon as you want if you're not a bearded man or a hijabi woman you're not as devoted and pious. It's as simple as that. This liberal fear of "nOt TeLlInG wOmEn WhAt To Do" is a great fitna that's leading so many women and by extension MEN to great harm. With a woman especially it's a fardh. The beard has a lot of ikhtilaaf. The majority opinion is that it's not fardh but a strong minority hold it is. Yes you can get munafiqs. But you have to have BOTH sides.
