Fungicide was one of the biggest things that took my lawn from blah to wow. I could never quite get my lawn looking the way I wanted, and after doing a lot of research, I discovered I had fungus. Treatments have definitely cut down this issue for me, and prevention is key. This has saved me a lot of money from having to overseed the entire lawn every fall to repair dead spots. Thanks for watching!

Another great job of explaining the product and the process to prevent the dreaded fungus bug! I dealt with a serious case of brown patch last year, and had to apply at curative rates. This is so much more costly and stressful. Much better to prevent the problem before it ever becomes a problem! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with others that also love their lawn 😀

What rate in oz/1000sqft do you normally apply the 3336F for preventative treatment?
@TheLawnLover
@TheLawnLover 6 ай бұрын
It will vary depending on what disease you are trying to prevent. I would refer you to the product label for more info www.domyown.com/clearys-3336f-fungicide-p-1345.html?PMax%3A%20%28ROI%29%20Shopping%20-%20Professional%20Turf%20%26%20Ornamental%20%28Best%20Sellers%29%20-%20Smart&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw1K-zBhBIEiwAWeCOF4xFZoq35OSn02f7hJkZeRtELPcL1fmtbaXbTlZ3OcA5HfMCgsab0hoCu0QQAvD_BwE. That said, I typically apply my preventative at 2oz per 1k and up it on future apps if I have active disease depending on thr type of disease that I have.

How long before the area treated is safe for people and animals?
@TheLawnLover
@TheLawnLover 3 ай бұрын
I would refer you to each individual product label for specifics, but the majority of the labels state that once the area is dry, it is safe to re-enter. I typically spray fungicides in the evening, let them sit overnight, and go back into the yard the next day. Thanks for watching!

An important note about the 3336 F product... it's sold with an unusual warning: "This product has been classified by the US DOT as a hazardous material." This is issued by the Department of TRANSPORTATION. In other words, it's a hazardous material that is a risk to first responders. I think it warrants extreme caution.
@TheLawnLover

You are correct. All chemicals sold in the US are required to have warning labels such as this, as required by the law.

Great information, just question on Propiconazole thought it had to be foliar application using the foliar Teejet Tip? Question 2, I get red thread and dollars spots so is ok to just use group 1 and 3 or I still have to get group 11? cause propiconazole and 3336 target them both. Thank you
@TheLawnLover
@TheLawnLover 2 жыл бұрын
The TeeJet Air Induction tip provides a great mix of small and larger droplets - I use that to get a mix of foliar spray and product to the soil since I am spraying the Azoxy and Propiconazole at once. If you are spraying just Propiconazole, using a foliar tip would work well. As long as you are alternating fungicide groups and not applying the same one all of the time you should be ok with the group 1 and 3 fungicides. I just threw the Clearys 3336F in the mix to give me another rotation in the groups. Thanks for watching!

@TheLawnLover

Yes, a good rotation of these 3 fungicides shown in the video have worked great for me in battling leaf spot/dollar spot. If you have an active outbreak of fungus, you will want to apply at the curative rates per the product labels. They will give detailed instructions on the label of how much to apply per 1,000 sq ft for the disease you are targeting and how to mix. I typically mix the Propiconizole/Azoxystrobin in one round, then follow up with Clearys on the next round. Be mindful of annual application maximums - especially with the Clearys - be sure to read the labels carefully. If you have a severe outbreak, it may take several applications to fully get rid of the disease, just stay persistent with it. Good luck!

Do you buy your fungicides online? If so,where. I’ve rotated the Disease EX and bio advanced spray before with only fair results. This year I used 1 application of granular Caravan G and1 application of Heritage G from Sygenta. It hasn’t worked to control the brown patch or dollar spot. Is this why you prefer liquid rather than granular fungicides? Thanks for the info.
@TheLawnLover
@TheLawnLover 2 жыл бұрын
I like buying from www.domyown.com - I linked the products I use the video description. I like the rotation of azoxystrobin, propiconizole, and clearys as it provides 3 different fungicide groups to avoid fungal resistance. You will also find that by using the professional grade products noted, they are much more potent and will take care of your fungus faster if you follow label instructions at the curative rates for the disease you are dealing with. If you have questions let me know. Thanks for watching!

Is it safe to apply Azoxy at the low rate just before an overseed?
@TheLawnLover
@TheLawnLover 2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, you can apply this prior to overseeding. I always apply a preventative fungicide treatment prior to overseeding to keep fungus at bay since I'm putting a lot of water down to keep the seed moist. Thanks for watching!

I'm in southern Indiana and have been fighting grey leaf spot for a couple year's now . I have tried these fungicides, but, I think waited too late to start applying, and didn't stay on top of it like I should have. What time of the year do you normally start applying your fungicide? Thanks, John
@TheLawnLover
@TheLawnLover 2 жыл бұрын
I typically start in late April, early May when nighttime temps start getting warmer - as a preventative treatment. If you have a bad outbreak, it will take several curative applications (make sure you are rotating fungicide classes as I discuss in the video). When I was working on a curative basis, I started about the same time with curative apps and applied per label instructions at curative rates. It took me most of last summer to fully eradicate all of the fungus in my lawn with this approach. After you get rid of it, good cultural practices like proper irrigation and preventative fungicide treatments will keep it at bay. Good luck with it and thanks for watching!

I’m so dang confused as to how much Azoxy 2SC to mix in my backpack sprayer. I’ve got lawn disease but have no idea on how much to apply. How in the world do you measure out .38 oz?

@TheLawnLover 2 жыл бұрын
The bottle comes with a measuring cup on it designed for this product that is easy to use.
@TheCureThatKillz
@TheCureThatKillz 2 жыл бұрын
@@TheLawnLover Very true. It has a .5oz, 1oz, and 2oz. But how the heck do you measure .38oz off that? There is a line that looks like it’s about a 3rd of the way between the 1oz and 2oz - do you know what measurement that line is?
@TheLawnLover
@TheLawnLover 2 жыл бұрын
I agree, they could have made it better. I typically spray one tank for 2k ft area so it comes out to .76oz qt preventative rate. I go halfway between .5 and 1oz for the 2k sq ft. It's not exact with the bottle, but you can guesstimate it fairly close. I have found some smaller measuring cups but nothing that precise.
@Mike--K
@Mike--K Жыл бұрын
I have a small lawn, so I have to be careful when applying herbicides and fungicides. I don't bother using the measuring cups or lines on the bottles. Instead, I buy disposable syringes in 1, 5, 10, and 20ml sizes and convert the ounces to milliliters. In your case, 0.38 ounces is 11.2ml, and is easy to measure with the 5ml syringe, which is marked in one milliliter increments. I would ignore the 0.2ml amount and measure 11ml of product.
