Listen I can obsess over BDG like the rest of the comments but holy hell is Jonah fantastic too! I don't know him outside of his music, but the talent is incredible - guitar with a cymbal on the side, piano in "maybe tomorrow", and backup vocals always on point. Would love to see more from you and Sierra, as well as Brian if he's not too busy nowadays with Polygon.

I came to the Altogether from the sideways Polygon angle I suspect is the usual these days, but. As a musician and a completist content-spiraler who uses music to control mood as compulsively as I think anybody has ever successfully used drugs, I'm all in. I did the bandcamp complete-works download and went through it on repeat for a few days and then got stuck on individual songs and evangelized them to the friends I still have who will accept bar-by-bar commentary on the progression and the evolution of timbre over the verses compared according to range and dynamic and the way that the rarity of sudden rhythmic unison on a triplet ornament makes it even more heartfeltly effective and the fact that they save the extremely satisfying rising arpeggiation for the last iteration of the chorus. I like to know WHY I like the things I like, and man I really like these things, and there's a lot to figure out here, and Jonah and BDG have done the work that it's a gift to open and look into, so. It is a whole well-cast, sweetly disguised structure, planned and multitasked, that underpins the extremely obvious wizardry of charisma, that allows someone to look into a camera with an assured and hopeful smile and tell me directly that he'll make me happy. And it works, and suddenly I am. Thanks, guys.
