We didn’t have empurau… empurau is from Sarawak…. We only had sea fish… but they were all awesome!

@@UncleLeeAdventures i never tried empurau so curious only tried indo borneo fish call jelawat and its masheer family also and ikan jurung from sumatra , my dad like to eat the ffish scakes of this kind of fish, they deep fried the scales, so ssabah dont have empurau is it?

@@solarcoaser I only tried frozen empurau once and don’t remember much of it… and friends who tried live empurau didn’t think it’s worth the money. Jelawat, Sultan, Kerai are all excellent eating river fish from Malaysia and I love them all… 🤤give me anyone of them , I will be very happy. Over here, they will make salt and pepper with the fish scales.. goes well with beer 🤤 Saw frozen black empurau from Sarawak at Kota Kinabalu airport… didn’t buy, bought 1.8kg mouse grouper instead 🤤 Empurau is from Sarawak rivers, not Sabah
