2009. I was working at a DVD shop when she came to buy some movies and she bought almost half of the store's inventory. I didn't knew who she was then social media was not as informative as nowadays. Remembered her during the 2006 year end floods in Johor. She came not only to thank us volunteers from Johor and Singapore NGO, she even set down with us to pack the large plastic bags of food, milk powder, 5 gallon drinking water for each and every victim young or old. The Head of the country is the Yang di Pertuan Agong. (YDPA in short). YDPA is an office or an institution representing the Malay Sultan in the Federation. The office now held by the Sultan of Johor. Malaysia governing system and how it operates is unique and complicated. Malaysia is not democratic country (ie the PM is not elected but rather selected by the YDPA but to make you eligible to be selected to be the PM you must be elected as Member of Parliement first via democratic principle of general elections ). Malaysia is not even a (Constitutional ) Monarchy in the strictest sense. YDPA is not the King of Malaysia.

​@@Thatonlyone678that guy just make it complicated with the terms. The Agung is the Supreme Ruler for 5 years. Its an office reserves for 9 Malay Sultans only in rotation basis. To simplify the Agung is King, the Permaisuri Agung is Queen. When they complete the Agung term , they return to their own state and rule like a king or queen. No difference.
