I replaced two belt tensioners, and everything else under the bonnet in a seven year period on a 3.2 bt50. Including an engine that was leaking coolant out the side of the block! It decided to catch on fire on a camping trip and burnt to the ground, just the biggest piece of crap I have ever owned.

Sorry to hear it.I have a 2012 BT 50 XTR, done 140 000 kms,and no dramas at all.There was a recall on rear main seal,a door latch issue. Thats about it, nearly 10 years trouble free. Put a catch can on @ 50 000Kms, secondary fuel filter, decent 3 inch exhaust, throttle controller fixed the dead spot on take off.

I have 15 of these things i have to look after and they are pretty average! At least they are if you follow their maintenance schedule!
