Jesus creating his amazing team of disciples. He does not want the best, the brightest. He does not want Pharisees and Sadducees. Though there were many people for Jesus to choose from he choose the men that would create team of disciples, that he spend three years to pouring into to become men who spread the new of the Gospel after his death. Today as we continue in our series “Son of God” from the Gospel of John, we will look at “Followers of Christ” from John 1:35-51. In this passage we look at the character Jesus is look for his disciples. We look at:
1. Authentic Faith (John 1:35-39)
2. Devoted Faith (John 1:40-42)
3. Sharing Faith (John 1:43-45)
4. Pure Faith (John 1:46-51)
Questions for the week:
1. Does authentic faith for Jesus look like? What keeps us from having an authentic faith? (John 1:35-39; John 6:26-27)
3. What does a devoted life to Christ look like? (John 1:40-42; Matt 16:18, 24; Acts 4:18-21)
4. How are you sharing your faith with others? (John 1:40-41, 43-45, Matt 18:19-20)
5. How are you living out a pure faith for the Lord? (John 1:46-51; Gal. 5:19-23; 1 Peter 1:14-16)
May we be followers of Christ that have an authentic, devoted, sharing and pure faith.
