I would absolutely love to see the community collect and work on a larger project for the Wc3 community. I worked alone on one for some weeks, but lost drive from being on it alone. Custom balancing / races is really the next level for Warcraft since Blizzard has abandoned it (from a creative level anyways)

There's some cool factions in the lore that really could use this sort of treatment. Burning Legion were supposed to be the 5th Race in the original games but they felt it was too hard to balance. This is why there are a ton of demonic creature models in the game, stuff like Infernals were meant to be the tier 3 units of the Burning Legion and not a summons. It also explains why the "Vampire" Dreadlord has horns, wings, and a demon's tail - originally they were a hero of the Burning Legion faction, and the third undead hero was supposed to be a half spider woman called a "Widower", and the Nerubians were going to be a race of spider-centaurs called "Arachnes", like Quelaag from Dark Souls, but that idea was scrapped in favor of the more Egyptian scarab beetle like designs they landed on for TFT. Personally I'd love to see a faction inspired by the Molten Core dungeon from WoW. A race of Firelords, with core hounds, salamanders (the WoW kind, that are more like fire Naga than big lizards), and dark iron dwarf slaves. That or a proper Zandalari faction, with jungle trolls and dinosaurs.

@@KekzEdition That was not their original idea, is what I am saying. Originally the Dreadlord was going to be one of the Burning Legion faction's heroes in Reign of Chaos (along with an Eredar Warlock and the Pitlord), but during production they decided to not do 5 factions and removed the Burning Legion as a playable faction. Since they hadn't finished modeling and animating the "Arachne" version of the Nerubians but had the Dreadlord model animated and ready to go, they scrapped the Widower hero and replaced her with the Dreadlord. The Widower was supposedly a half-spider, half woman ranged hero with seduction-based skills - her abilities were retooled a bit and used to make the Dark Ranger for TFT. Another bit of "abandoned lore" about the Nerubians was that they were a female-dominated society, basically inspired by the Drow and Driders, and meant to be a "dark" version of Dryads. A lot of this stuff got cut for time, basically, but was talked about in a web press release that is sadly lost to time.

"5 damage every 5 seconds for 45 seconds should be a lot of damage" That's 45 damage, that's bout 5% of your hero's healthpool

Don't normally comment but will the 3rd game be on KZbin at some point? It's great watching Grubby and Kevin adapt to a new race that doesn't have an established meta yet. I think I've learned more about how to understand War3 from watching these than I do watching other guides. Makes me wish there were more custom races based on WoW factions, like the Draenei, Goblins, Amani Trolls, Ogres/Gronn etc.

Ok nice - especially that you simply play it within the community, I saw this dude... - but how do I find players? People in custom games list do not want to join 1v1 maps... ( I amm literally trying to host the "map" now for 1 hour, on those given maps, ofc different titles...) Those people usually are open for trying such maps that are bigger, thus less volatile - so you can actually play around and not die. Especially when first trying. I mean everyone knows how good players ABUSE newb players nowadays, (haha noob etc) and that's why most ppl are allergic to 1v1 today.
