You can, however, use anti-magic potion beforehand, which he did. But anti-magic potion is dispellable by destro's devour magic, which is what the opponent did before silencing the PotM

Potm pretty much useful in team games. She is suck in 1v1 since it is either win Early or lost after 30mins.

@@saimyintmyat9373 I feel like the developers didn't design her well. The main issue is searing arrow. Immolate on DH does essentially the same damage but is AoE (though needs to be in melee range). You actually get a lot more damage from immolate than you do searing arrow, and immolate isn't a good spell.

potm + archers is basically autowin in 3v3. Every archer is going to be shooting for 40 dmg at full upgrades, at just 2 food space and at a high rate of fire, AND they have superior range. It's also super easy to get the potm to lvl 5 in 3v3. The immense amount of damage is nearly uncomparable, even by AOE heroes. I would not be surprised if a potm+archer army dealt over double the DPS of any other ranged army. They absolutely massacre even the big melee.

Speaking as an amateur - I have always found PoM a viable hero in a mass huntress/Hyppoarcher build (via trueshot aura). She is a nice low maintenance hero that you can just right click searing arrows and forget about (apart from micro movements as standard). Plus Starfall feels great if you get that far.

Trueshot aura +30% ranged damage, it can hurt with great amounts of small units. In a way you can calculate it as having +1/3 army for free.

Believe it or not, I would do this same strategy and add a 2nd tavern, often ranged, hero. I'd get archer / hunt upgrades quickly with an expansion and with trueshot having ridiculous damage, often volleying one row of attacks to kill secondary heroes This cheese strategy got me mid-level 30s (almost 40) back in the day in the Azeroth realm! Good days...

Funny potm story - when wc3 first game out and you could thumbs down as many maps as you want, my friend would play RT and thumbs down every map except crucible. He would get potm and creep the lvl 10 dragon with mass archers as fast as possible then just attack the enemy with like 20 lvl 3 trueshot archers and starfall and completely catch people off guard. He got rank 1 doing this same strat every single game.

Grubby to run this strategy you need 2 AOW, mass archers, rush level 2 and spearhead all upgrades for the archers. Once you reach 2/2, 3/3, and range upgrade it's madness. You also need boots of speed for POTM and eclipses to hide archers.
