I know neytpoh from my childhood (we lived in one city) and he was so great NE player.... His strategy in this game was pretty strong, but, Grubby, do you know his old strategy PotM + Panda + Mass Ballistas and druids? He won a lot of champinships with it. Do you think this strategy still strong, or last patches changed meta alot?

this strategy is really imba, especially when you start playing ladder, you can go up to level 30 without great problems with this fucking strategy and this fucking keeper. newbies and people who had some experience in warcraft III will all lose against this bullshit.

@@armisttice not sure why far seer chain lightning couldnt have the same kind of impact. A bit more squishy and you dont get the no mana cleave, but lvl 2 and lvl 3 chain lightning is strong vs archers having more upfront damage instead of the sustained rain.

Recent keepers are all almost cenarius. To kill them, orc need a power from the demon.The Pit lord.

We need to have Human viable again, this patch actually threw balance quite off for the entire game. Orc Totem changes were great, however.

After the patch Panda was pretty much nerfed, while Pitlord got boosted, both cleave dmg and rain of fire is overall better now than Panda. but probably TC would have been even better choice. Not sure though.

Because it's easy to cancel with entangle, because it's easy to focus down the SH, and because the SH other abilities are really good.

it's not better DPS, rain of fire is ridiculous. but if he is in there he should go for the autos to be more mobile. but when you can get a nice safe rain off, that only hits oppo, it's so much damage

Rain of fire and cleave overlap each other. You cant do one while you do the other. Howl of terror would not even have been dispelled. Using rain of fire vs a heavy focus army is like asking to get killed. And guess what, it happened. Howl of terror would have reduced opponent focus + allow some micro to keep PL alive because it's not a channeling spell. PL also had 2 items that made cleave even better. Spending time casting rof is basicly not using what the game gave you.

I think the idea, at the time, was to keep Pitlord back and use RoF for the range wars. Though the micro from the elf was so bad in that last major fight, so it wasn't really needed. If the elf played more micro footsies, RoF probably would have been better value in the long run. If instead he just moves his archers into Cleave range, then meh, you kind of win anyway.

The fight that counts is at 24:00. What comes after is regular snowballing. Look at the output of Rain of fire. Imagine that very fight with pitlord using howl and cleave.
