Hi Redskingirl. Israel didn't give up custody over the Temple Mount. The opposite. It maintains its security to this day. But Moshe Dayan set the status quo that it will remain an excusive Mulsim prayer site, while the Western Wall will be a Jewish prayer site. Some may not like it, but the alternatives could lead to a third world war..

Also, when you say that you are walking where Jesus walked, does it feel any different.? I know that for me it would be an incredible thing and I would be overwhelmed with emotion. I hope to have this happen before I die. Thanks, Shalom 🙏✌

Ritual baths did not always have running water but the pool of Siloam did. And the sources indicate nudity in the process, yes. I am excited (doesnt show?) when walking where he might of walked, but I keep reminding the viewers there is no absolute proof. Its all levels of plausibility.

I’m a little bit puzzled by all these ancient remnants around the Temple Mount. How come the stones around the south west corner were not removed and reused during the Middle Ages? And wouldn’t the stairways and ruins outside Hulda Gate be helpful to an attacker since that would be outside the medieval walls?
@danny.the.digger
@danny.the.digger 2 жыл бұрын
The destruction layer of the Temple Mount walls was eventually filled up, but a good share of them was actually very recycled by the Ummayads. And the gates were blocked (and are to this day) to stairs don't make much of a difference..

I really enjoyed your tour of that part of Jerusalem which brought about some questions concerning where the Temple Mount is actually located. There are a few videos that give reasonable explanations where the Temple Mount could be located but no clear cut answer. But I happened to search Bar Kokhba which raised more questions. The post I read said after Emperor Hadrian defeated Bar Kokhba he denied the Jews access to Jerusalem and destroyed everything on Temple Mount and then lowered Temple Mount by 1000 feet. If that were true would the "western wall" still be where it is today?

[Earl Schultz] About your thoughts on why Jesus didn't purify himself, ridiculous!! If that was so what you are saying is the Priests (Pharisees and/or Sadducee's) accepted the fact that Jesus was the Messiah and didn't CRUCIFY him. Oh, wait, but Jesus was CRUCIFIED and the Priests didn't like Jesus, but I could be wrong despite the fact I have read the Bible.

Is this area open to group pilgrimage? This was the missing piece during our pilgrimage last 2017. I saw it only when our tour bus pass by it.

Bob Cornuke needs to understand, this is where the temple was in the south, next to the Ophel. Not in the old 13 aches of David’s Castel.

It says everywhere that the priests are rebels of god I wouldn’t say that I would say very stubborn Are they ready to open up there hearts Humanity is depending on there next move Will they choose truth Or will they choose the darkness again Power and greed most likely The world wants to know Hopefully they are smart enough to choose god this time Swallow your pride that easy And the world will be saved Choose this time The right choice Easy answer because you know history The world will depend on this answer So tighten your robes and pull up your socks Cause we know the darkness always creeps In Put a stop 🛑 to it the end we win

Wonder if He used the eastern gate to enter all the time, or if he used the other gates at times, I heard someone say one time that the eastern gate was the gate that the kings would enter through in ancient times

Do museums and antiquities sometimes state that things are replicas to keep people from messing with the artifact? I can't see them hauling out a huge stone like that.

You will see that Josephus and the Bible use the term Temple for both the Temple House and for the entire Temple complex ... The Temple Mount. Most of the time when the Temple House is being spoken off, it is with the House modifier. They were making sales within the Temple complex, In the gates and in the courts. When Jesus and the disciple taught at the temple, it was in the Temple complex and not the Temple house itself. Jesus calls the entire Temple complex His House also or His Father's House as even the court was sanctified by the sacrifices which were placed directly onto the court itself when it was too great for the huge altar. This is why today's Western wall was not part of the 600 by 600 foot Temple complex, but was a parallel city wall about 300 feet West of the Temple Mount which no longer exists.
