Nice! 8 meters is very deep for a waterfall! Thank you for the update. This is probably a result of the big typhoons in 2017 that cleared out all the waterfalls in Pingtung (like 天鵝湖, 情人湖,飛龍 all of these waterfalls become deeper as the sediment was removed during rain. A lot of rain but few landslides in 2017).
Thank you 小飛 for sharing useful information and knowledge! One of them is my friend actually, and she does know how to swim as you assume. Sadly she didn't have chance to watch this video before she starts her adventure there. Hope these kind of tregedy will not happen again in the future.

Sorry to hear that. Nature is very powerful. Swimming isn't enough. But the skills do deal with it aren't easily learned. Because here they are not taught.
謝謝Xiaofei, 很真誠的分享! 下水前,評估水文、充分熱身,不做超過自身能力的冒險! Really hope eco.-education in Taiwan can be valued more. Thank you so so much, for such useful life-saving concept.
Thanks for doing this video to educate Taiwanese people. I’ll share this on my social media.

Thank you. I learn a lot. There are many young man die in water in Summer in Taiwan, they are all either too confident or lack of knowledge. You provide us the last one.
Seems like it's gotten deeper :) Can jump off the top now ;)

There should be more professionals doing more analytical videos like this and more immediately after the accident to give Taiwanese media good face slapping and provide correct info to the public. Great job!!!
what a systematic analysis, this is exactly what people have to learn and to understand

I tried 12:01 last time when being dragged to the center of a different waterfall, as you mentioned the flow will push you away, it worked to me because I noticed that there's almost no space behind to the waterfall before I started swimming, anyway all these rescue methods are important, as well as the ability of observing the current

HI Xiaofei! May be you can try to write a book on all the nature wonders and waterfall in Taiwan! Maybe there is a market for that subject.
