Folsom Rodeocross, Halloween Edition 2024: singlespeed

This race kicked ass. The video is bumpy but also it's a good impression of what the course looked like through my drunk eyes. This is the most fun I've had on a bike at least since Singlespeed Worlds last year, and maybe even before that. My GoPro ran out of battery but here's two or so laps of the course. Heckle Hollow was something to behold. Super fun time, huge field so plenty of opportunities for little battles, and basically nothing on the line because, let's face it, it's cyclocross, we're all losers. Solidly worth the drive. I am very jealous that this is right in Sacramento's backyard and that we don't get anything like this in the Bay.

Biking drunk at night is one of the most fun and liberating things you can do. I am so glad that it is nowhere near as dangerous as driving under the same conditions.
