Steven : Thank you , using the 80mm 2.8 gives me a good idea of what a Rollei will do of the same Zeiss lens , in the TLR ... I like the 200 Fomopan , it captured good detail on the boat , that you took near the shore. I like the soft but sharp organic , the 100 did blow out , maybe the yellow was a bit much , I have Ilford films and Berger Pancro 400 , I have just cycled some through my Rollei wide. Will see how my freezer stored Berger will do. Love the calm and lyrical way you do these video's Steve ...as shooting film or digital ..is indeed an exercise in calm discovery and reflection. The little train platform is so cute ... I would love to ride that train . ♥

I am always happy to see when you post a video. I agree, the yellow filter did not help many of those photos. Happy to see old film get used. It has fulfilled its purpose. I will visit Japan soon and hope to take as beautiful pictures as yours.

I have had a lot of problems with Fomapan 200 Creative. It suffers from thousands of tiny whit dots on the emulsion. I have just about given up using it, sadly as I quite like the tonality.

Love your videos, Stephen. I’m an hp5 shooter, but recently bought some T-Max to try. Interesting that Tri-X is your favorite. I’ll have to get some of that, too. It’s still readily available in USA.

Great! Tri-X has disappeared in Japan

Congratulations for the truly beautiful and poetic video. I really love foma 100 developed in hydrofen 1+39, but also with rodinal when I look for images with more evident grain.
@StevenTanno10 ай бұрын
Yes I like Rodinal do Foma. I would try Hydrofen looks good, thank you!

Foma 100 is my GOAT. Very cheap and good enough, especially on medium and large format where grain matters less, but also for bulk loading your own 35mm rolls. I usually expose it at ISO 160 and add a bit of dev time. Just keep in mind to pre-wash, depending on the Foma stock and format it stains the water quite a bit!

If I remember correctly this was limited edition packaging to celebrate Foma's 100 years anniversary. Film is the same.

Great video! How do you scan your 120 film if I may ask?
@StevenTanno10 ай бұрын
I am digitizing 120 film by using a Sony A7m4 and a DIY made light box.

@@StevenTanno DDX 1+9 for 45 minutes is what I use for 2 stops with FOMA 100. I've also used HC110 dilution G, but I don't recall the times. Love your videos sir!

Fomapan 100 classic and 200 creative are just a regular names. Nothing special about them. The vintage graphic design seems to done for the export rolls as I didn't see them here in the Czech Republic.
@StevenTanno11 ай бұрын
Ok, thank you for tell me that. I am thinking travel to Czech Republic and photographing with Fomapan film will be best things.
