Chatten's voice and accent is/are three-dimensional so it adds an extra spatial element to the complexity of their songs. The guitar tunings on this record are excellent and the crafting of the lyrics is top drawer.

@ceterisparibus6261 Жыл бұрын
UHMM you would have to be into a stupid scene of techno and in stupid ibiza for that. I have been to Ibiza 6 times. Europe 14 times. HOWEVER - the band - fontaines clearly uphold a bias towards the drug they endorse which is weed. They get hyped up pre shows by hip hop tunes and they mimic the sound of inhaling weed in their songs. Also weed lyrics at times. I would not characterize them as a weed band but they do endorse a slight change to a paragdime regime . NOT coke . They are not oasis. Oasis at their prime was balls out rock and roll insult the world and fight each other and make top top rocking tunes. These guys are melody, poetry and true alternative imagination and creativity. You are wrong in your analysis.

I think I might be hallucinating this, but I swear there's some weird time signature fuckery going on with the vocals and the beat of the song in the very beginning. I swear the vocals change beat at least twice from the 1st beat to the & beat and then to the 2nd beat.

Seriously. The repetitive lines he repeate in EVERY fucking song is a style thats getting old with me. Write some lyrics. Jesus. The band is great But the lyrics are awful. He can't seem to be able to go deep.. I recommend he reads some poetry, or lyrics by Patti Smith Maybe try something new. Cause the repetitive thing is REALLY getting old

I kind of agree in songs like televised mind but I think it works in this on. Also the band started because they loved poetry and wanted to do something similar.
@josephbrennan97122 жыл бұрын
Idk, there's songs like "I love you" where the repetition works well in building up to these amazing, powerful and poetic lyric verses, but I definitely see your point. Aside from "I love you" and "Jackie down the line", this album's a bit underwhelming to be honest. Which is a shame, because I thought every song on the first 2 albums were absolute masterpieces
@carolm11102 жыл бұрын
@@josephbrennan9712 yeeesss! The first 2 albums were absolutely amazing and I feel the same abt this one. The songs are repetitive and even the vocals are out of tune and boring many times. It's a great band, but I'm afraid they should have worked more on the lyrics and songs in general.
@carolm11102 жыл бұрын
@@leopedley2030 @Leo Pictus yes, Leo. It worked perfectly in Televised Mind, which is one of my favorite songs by them. But I have to agree with Damian. It's getting old and boring. I got disappointed, tbh.
