There is simply not enough Earl Hudson on YT. He plays some crazy beats with BB like Earl Palmer on speed

I've seen this video like 1000 times. still I must smile every time. Love to see Dave behind the drums, looking all relaxed, chewing his gum, and still kick ass like that.. Daamn, I'm looking forward to see him in Them crooked vultures!
@shultzie44515 жыл бұрын
i agree completely. i recently saw Them Crooked Vultures. his stage presence, even behind the kid, is unmatched by almost any other musician. he just has this way of giving it his all and completely immersing himself in the music. by far the best drummer i have ever seen live.

What's amazing about this isn't necessarily the skill involved (although that is impressive), but rather the way that they're able to bounce of eachother and basically write a song focused on drums. I mean how many drum solos end like that, with everyone rocking out/the audience forming mosh pits?

@mufflermetal26 never becouse they r another style of drumers jordison is more tecnic but grohl is more groove n feeling but i like more groove n feeling but i like jordison to, realy doesnt matters = )
@KinetiK13814 жыл бұрын
@mufflermetal26 Define better. Joey Jordison can play the hell out of a double bass far in excess of Grohl but can Jordison sing or play lead guitar like Grohl? I'd love to see Probot2 with Joey supporting Dave (or vice versa) and leave the comparisons there. I'm not sure what is about youth that depends on definitions of a broad 'best' in a narrow field. Who was the "best" drummer of the 3 in this video? I'm not about to even offer an opinion other than to congratulate FF and Earl.

Joey has speed AND technigue. If you lisnt to it, its technically VERY difficult. But its not something, that would make your body move. not without the guitars. But Dave (and Chad Smith, Lars ulrich etc) have much less speed, its much less easier, less technically difficult, but more Groovy :-D
@MettoDdrummer12 жыл бұрын
Neither you can compare em both, they play different styles wich is impossible to compare.. even in a drum battle they will show different skills in different techniques or parts..
@BradDixon1412 жыл бұрын
I absolutely adore Slipknot, and Joey Jordison as a drummer... but people need to learn the difference between playing drums fast, and playing them like Dave does (like a God)

dave played drums for nirvana, with foo fighters he sings and plays guitar (this here is an exeption), so theres no real connection, and by the way, nirvana was great and something completely different then foo fighters, so don't talk stupid things pls, just to say something ;)

Thing is Grohl is a rock drummer and he's easily the best rock drummer out there. Joey Jordison is a metal drummer and he's really good although Iggor Cavalera pwns him. Same as Dave Sandstrom is easily the best hardcore drummer in the world.
@enricooo66615 жыл бұрын
yea right !!! dude hes has been one of worls best drummer, because of the speed, and because of the ritm!! His drum solos are in the worlds best drumsolos!! Everyone can do what dave does! its not special at all, and hes not famous at all!!

haha dave fuckin owns taylor but taylor is still pretty fuckin rad but i gotta say earl hudson was pretty much the winner in this hes fuckin crazy haha.
@Kazesan15 жыл бұрын
You're right. Dave Grohl's not famous at all. All he's done is drums for Nirvana/QotSA and front-manned Foo Fighters. I mean it's not like those bands shaped modern rock, grunge, or alternative in any way...oh wait. Also all joey does is broken rolls at high speed, speed =/= skill. I'm not going to trash joey and say he's a bad drummer, but he's far from being the best. Now, if you want some really sick drum solos, go look at Neil Peart, Mike Portnoy, or John Bonham.
