proOutlander I'm trying to find just an audio version of this... I completely agree that it's the best version with the other live version from their Skin & Bones live album not far behind.

Skin and Bones is way better if you ask me............ 💪💪🤘🤘
@Bharathk3 жыл бұрын
@@davidmatthews1710 respectfully disagree. They herp derp it up in Skin and Bones with the keyboard and weird country vibe at the beginning. Less is more IMO and the Foo Fighters corporation has long since lost sight of that

@@davidmatthews1710 I guess both versions have their likeness about them whether you’re up for some rock or acoustic music but yes that version is easy listening.

One of those records that once you press play , as the music begins and the lyrics glow in your mind, you feel a thrust of memories throughout your life , some good, some bad, but this song releases so much tension from your mind, no matter what you're going through in life. This song has helped me get through a lot emotions. Man, I wish I could be a writer for a magazine company or something that has to do with writing/critiquing. That would be a dream come true. It's my true passion. God bless to all of you! Keep it movin'

Agree man. Lots of emotions tied to this track. It builds and it builds. It’s simply beautiful

I think Dave may have been very guarded about this song, and said it had to do with his former wife after his divorce, when in fact I really do think it is about Kurt, who was born in February. After reading the Storyteller, it confirmed what I think after he explains the walls he built to protect himself from the pain of losing Kurt after he initially thought Kurt passed in Rome. I love this song very much, THANK YOU Dave for your inspiration, your generosity, and for the music. I'm sorry for your losses, but am inspired by your insistence on pushing forward. THANK YOU

I hate that personal drama tends to happen at the worst time, but it sure does tend to inspire great music. Writing songs that likely were about his wife and the perspective changing from husband to rough divorce midway through the process. I know Dave had a serious hand in it ending, but it does not make it any less rough on someone.
