It sounded like he was using a double kick for those choruses, but knowing Grohl he definitely didn't
@bigbowlowrong46942 жыл бұрын
Definitely not, very doable with one foot.
@JayZombie12162 жыл бұрын
This is the problem with us drummers nowadays. PLAYING WITH ONE FOOT IS NOT DIFFICULT. ITS ONLY A DOUBLE. PUT AWAY YOUR DOUBLE KICK AMD PLAY WITH ONE FOOT.
@JayZombie12162 жыл бұрын
@JacobW dude you can totally do it. I think it very well is your pedal.

I love how Dave insisted to not use any compression on the drums. It's tricky to get such a massive sound without it.
@wyrlismike4 жыл бұрын
I saw on produce like a pro they said that but you can clearly here the drums are infact compressed. I don't know what that interview shit was, been compressing drums for 20 years, these are compressed
@Weaponize2 жыл бұрын
These drums are definitely compressed, you can especially hear it in the kick.
@ChristianIce2 жыл бұрын
The amount of compression is huge, on single elements, on overheads, and on the room. I don't think you use the word compression for what it actually means :) (not trying to be rude, probably you mean something else)
@kurdtjohn2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I actually revisited the two separate interviews with the engineer (Bradley Cook) and the mixer (Chris Sheldon) on Produce Like a Pro and they mentioned printing everything hot to tape so there’s saturation, and there is in fact compression, but it wasn’t anything too heavy. They actually did use Pro Tools but only in the beginning, because Pro Tools at the time wasn’t anything more efficient than tape in those years.
@millennialanimal2 жыл бұрын
@@kurdtjohn they might have been talking about when recording the drums. And you’re right pushing the pre amps onto tape can add compression. But after the fact I’d say there has to be some compression there.

What have we done with innocence? It disappeared with time, it never made much sense Adolescent resident Wasting another night on planning my revenge Don't wanna be your monkey wrench One more indecent accident I'd rather leave than suffer this I'll never be your monkey wrench All this time to make amends What do you do when all your enemies are friends? Now and then I'll try to bend Under pressure, wind up snapping in the end . One last thing before I quit I never wanted any more Than I could fit into my head I still remember every single word you said And all the shit that somehow came along with it Still, there's one thing that comforts me Since I was always caged and now I'm free

Never noticed that he is mostly using just one crash cymbal hahah
@kurdtjohn4 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure his cymbal setup only includes a hi-hat, one crash, a ride, and a china.
@loekballintijn43884 жыл бұрын
nah I think just 1 hihat and 1 massive 30" crash ride hahah
@jasonshrout72554 жыл бұрын
Kurt Garcia that was never his setup. Outside of the Nirvana Unplugged setup, he has always had hats, ride, and a minimum of two crashes. Later setups included a third crash, an effects crash, and a China.
@jasonshrout72554 жыл бұрын
He’s using more than one crash here. He always has. He’s also riding on the hi hats and ride cymbal at various times during this song.

Hi, What is the software, which separated only batteries??? Thank's
@Dennis199016 жыл бұрын
No software. It's raw audio files from probably one of the Guitar Hero or Rock Band games. Mixing music is like cooking a dish. Once you put all the ingredients together, there is no way to separate them again.
