The Foo Fighters are this generations Zeppelin, we can always count on them to regularly put out great music and kick ass shows. They are the one of the only great rock bands to come out of the last decade. Rock on Dave!

The only band I've ever seen live using canned tracks was paramore, and they only used it on Ain't it Fun to do the xylophone effect

I admit, sometimes when he plays live he doesn't sing as well as he does on the albums but I still think he's a great musician and song writer. I'm not saying that I don't like you saying your opinions on KZbin. Free speech man. I just don't like you calling your opinions fact. What do you mean when you say he uses computers?

Yes i know that :) But i ment that other guitarist, Latino-looking guy. I think he played guitar in Nirvana´s MTV Unplugged-Show. At least he looks like him...

That guitarist name is Pat Smear he was a member of Nirvana during their final year.

Well there is usually editing to and extent in the studioto make sure the album sounds perfect. I'm sure he sings better standing in a studio in front of a mic than in front of thousands of people and running around whilst playing guitar. He sings much better in acoustic sets. I also think his point was more about how bands should play guitars and produce all the music themselves with real instruments rather than having things like synth and backing tracks whilst they're playing.
@nikkari6912 жыл бұрын
Okay.. he is Pat Smear :) thanks for Info :) Sure i know Dawe G :s history . .As a old Fashion Hard Core Punk drummer & Hard Core Husker Du Fan i know certain things ;)

Dude, the last 99 videos you have commented on, 68 of them have been negative about Dave, Foo, and / or Nirvana in the last 5 days. I get you are hateful and just a rude guy, but for the record, that actually is trolling, that is the perfect example of trolling.

How can you know that he uses melodyne? If you can present proof to me I will gladly accept it as fact but until then I will be sceptical. Also, Wasting light was recorded on analog. I would have thought that would mean you couldn't use any sort of audio manipulation plug-ins.

Just wondering why someone would go to such lengths to bring up so many different videos and spew with so much anger. So many videos over the course of several months. Did you get kicked out of the band? Fired as a guy that sets up the lunch or something?

you know when you say something is bad, that's an opinion. I'm not sure you understand the difference between an opinion and a fact. A fact is something that has been proven, for example: "The Earth rotates around the sun". An opinion is a subjective belief, for example "Blink-182 are a terrible band". That's just like... my opinion, man. It can't be proven that Blink-182 are a terrible band because it depends on your disposition and preferences. An opinion cannot be the truth. You're welcome.

Referring to the fact that deadmau5 was playing the opposite side of the park and you could hear it for a chunk of the set.
@8518520931142085139 жыл бұрын
Claudio Gutiérrez - Well, Periphery for example plays with a backing track, since they don't have someone to cue up all the synth stuff. They're also absurdly tight and collected when playing live. Maybe it's not punk rock, but it's certainly dickish to act like someone isn't a musician just because one of their instruments is a computer.
@JoshValdez19969 жыл бұрын
He's stated many times he will never record with computers because they allow you to play like shit, with computers you can go in and make anything sound good. He's said the Foo's will never do that they record all their albums on tape. I'm sure EDM on the other side of the park had something to do with that statement to though.
@8518520931142085138 жыл бұрын
***** - He likes Trent Reznor. He says it's because "Trent does unique things you couldn't do with other instruments", or whatever, but honestly I think it's because he knows Trent Reznor and has to have an excuse to not be a hypocrite.

Foos are great, but I'm not entirely sure about his computers thing, if he means canned backing tracks then I agree. If he means using synths and electronic music, a la Muse then I must respectfully disagree. In my opinion they have taken rock to more new places then Dave, who has written some top songs and really knocks out of it the park live but isn't really pushing any boundaries (IMHO). Don't get me wrong, I wish I had just some of his musical talent.
