I will not lie to you guys. Back in the late 90s I was listening to R&B. I knew of the Foo fighters but they weren't my thing. JFC all it took was one video of Shane Hawkins playing the drums at his dad's tribute concert and here I am. WOW

I saw this cover done live by Taylor last summer here where I live In Anchorage. I was nearly in tears. I saw the Foo Fighters nearly 12 year prior and they were JUST as good. Always liked him with his drums but didn't know he was a good singer too. Same with Grohl. Knew him first as drummer for Nirvana and the Foo Fighters come along and he's out front with a guitar and singing. Never know what people can do and it's great to be surprised! We miss ya Taylor. I grew up as an enormous Beatles fan. Still am. But now I love Foo Fighters just as much. I never got to see them with Taylor, sadly, but we’re going to see them in Boston-their first big Foos show since Taylor died. It’s going to be so bittersweet to see them without this sweet, amazingly talented man. But music has always meant life and renewal for Dave and this band. I’m going to try to just remember that when I’m at what I’m sure will be a very emotional night for everyone.
