I love how Dave Grohl, even with all he's done, was still being a big fan boy. Dave is a hell of a composer, but still remains a FAN of the music he loves. In my opinion, that's what separates a good artist from a great artist!

Monochrome Seasons I
@buuzzsawtouchedme1947 жыл бұрын
+Monochrome Seasons, I also love the way Dave has a "just doesn't give a shit" kind of attitude (in a positive way), just look at how silly some of their music videos are, and the way he just wants to have fun and not be serious all the time, he's a guy that has worn ABBA shirts and attended Rock Clubs with them on for gods sake. Interesting Fact: When Dave was learning to be a front man, he would study other lead singer's to learn what to do, how to act, how to talk etc, he came across James Hetfield (Metallica), he noticed (or at least had the impression) that James was very professional on the Album, but on stage James was a "jackass", he notices that James would change certain vocals around for comedy effect e.g instead of James singing "Nomad, vagabond" he would sing "Nomad, Jager bomb". Dave then noticed that in-between songs that James would joke around with the crowd, he would burb, talk about tits, talk about fucking, and "I just found that shit hilarious", and when I was forming the Foo Fighters that's who I wanted to be. So we can thank James Hetfield, for partly creating Dave's on stage persona.

I feel like people are taking this album for granted and not appreciating it for what it is. You have to understand that a band who just came out with their fucking 9th studio album can’t make the same record every damn time to please you people. They have to do something new and something they like. This album is a masterpiece. Stop acting like they just brought in some trash rapper to sing half the songs. Appreciate music that’s good. Of course wasting light and color and shape are fantastic but so is Concrete and Gold.
