Same. Just a few days ago I saw them live here in Mexico, and when I was walking out of the stadium at the end of the gig I thought "Foo Fighters are going to rock until they're old and they're all going to look like they do in Run". Excuse me, the fact that Linkin Park are my favorite band doesn't mean that I can't never express a negative opinion about them if I don't like something. One of the few "celebs" that have actually made me feel incredibly sad for their passing. I remember in 2011 when I happen to come across "Back and Forth" the documentary playing on cable. I fell in love with Foo Fighters immediately after watching that. Watched it on repeat over the years. Watching every documentary, video on KZbin, listening to every song and being lucky enough to see them live a few times. I became a mega fan of the people behind the band name "Foo Fighters". I can only imagine what Dave and Taylor's family is going through right now. So fucking sad man. And deeply unexpected. RIP Hawk. You changed my life.

I've only had a chance to speak to Dave. It was at the 96 HFStival. I saw him walking down where the players walked out from. I was told from a friend, "There's Dave"! In disbelief, I naturally, looked. There was Dave. So, I yelled, "HEY DAVE, I LOVE YOU, MAN!" He looked up, directly to me and said, "Hey bud, I love you, too! Thank you!" In the midst of all, I thought of Kurt and the turmoil he must have gone through and, instantly, Dave fucking Grohl was my new hero. I love this guy and everything he does. Don't ever stop, Dave. @@richiep3520 i remember listening to a few songs a while ago. havent owned the album though, i will buy it based off your recc though, seeing how were the same age, im 33. i believe in a thing called love was a pretty epic song when it came out lol. it blew my mind honestly, came across as a parody in a way, but was just legit rock. ive been on the hunt for a sound that just rocks my socks off though. through the years, albums like la disputes albums, wildlife, and somewhere at the bottom were totally awesom new sounds. going back to the days, albums like rise against's siren song, and the album after that were also great, n just action packed. tools 10000days. im lookin for real music like that. new music is trending towards lyrics not really rhyming. or more so going off an ABCADEABFCD type rhyme style ya know. basically meaning that they arent really putting the lyrics up front, theyre more lax on relying on the beat to carry the song, n just throwin shit lyrics out to get the song out. this just doesnt sound good to me. theres a new pop song out, drivers license. its honestly pretty shit. they put mad publicity into the song, which made it seem like it was legit. then there was the shitty story behing it, which made people want to relate to it. in reality though, its not a good song, it could have been written so much better, had an artist with more persistence and vocabulary chosen slightly better lyrics, making the song actually flow lyrically. just a small example, an i could be wrong with that. ive only heard the song twice. both times however i came to the same conclusion. music should have some what of a poetic rhyming structure to it, its what makes it pleasing to the ear, and inner dancer in our mind

Rock is still alive and well my friend it’ll sound different sometimes but the spirit will never die and who knows maybe the classic loud guitars and deafening drums version of rock will come back but for now we have other forms

How did I never see this video until now? Such a great song and even better video. This song hits home to me. Four years ago, I got in trouble and went to jail, and after I got out, this was one of the first songs I listened to while I was working with my dad to get back on my feet... I don't know why but the emotion in his voice just hits home for me (and BTW I didn't run, but damn if I didn't want to every single day).

I’m so sadden by the news of the passing of our beloved Taylor, I feel like I just lost a family member. Watching this band evolve as I grew up, going to almost every concert in NYC, I’m at a loss for words. They were supposed to grow old together like in the video. I’m heartbroken.

I'm just here studying music videos. Particularly music videos with a story. This really spoke volumes. One of my favorites so far.
@michellesmithunroe2463 Жыл бұрын
I prefer to create my own impressions of music and have probably seen fewer music videos than most people on Earth. I've binged Foo Fighters' audio with lyrics selections over the past few weeks and caught some glimpses of their video content that piqued my curiosity. Today I devoted time to watching. It was a worthwhile investment as all of them have been well produced with good flow and timing. I believe "Run" to be especially honest in its communication of the lyrical intent which makes it stand out against a collection of others that primarily serve to distract from it. Words still matter and, the more I Iearn about Dave Grohl, the more I want to listen to his. I also appreciate the talent he's attracted because they add emotions to the words. Unlike most I've seen, this video unifies it all nicely to send out a useful message with clarity.
