Lavender and mint makes them go away. They hate it. It also works for flys, spiders and mosquitos. I have a bunch of lavender plants on my property and not 1 mosquito.

ask your local nursery about what plants attract dragon flies …. I hate the flying bugs but they are the coolest insect for a few reasons... as far as I know they are the only bug that can hover and fly backwards... also they eat mosquitoes....
