Five years ago I occasionally had to use the food bank. There was plenty of good food. Now there's very little. The reason is I see foreign students, and immigrants/ refugees in the line ups like never before. Everything is the result of the Liberal/ NDP policies folks! That's why this problem will only get worse, and low income Canadians who SHOULD be getting help, are being pushed aside. We MUST call an election now!!

I'm a low income senior and out if necessity have to use the food bank. ( K-W region) The reason so many of us have to, is because for nine years this Liberal ) NDP govt has refused to bring our OAS/CPP up to par with inflation. Not even a few dollars worth mentioning. Their supplements and rebates don't come close to helping us make ends meet either! They are just a sugar coated cover up for our real needs. No one can live on $1200.00 to $1500.00 a month. That does not even put a roof over our heads! We didnt the need dental care JT brags about every day either! Just increase our monthly income by at least $1500.00 a month now Libs, and get realistic! If that isnt bad enough, they have given billions of dollars to Ukraine and are paying for senior's pensions there with OUR money!! Talk about injustice!! We must get this party out if office asap!! They do NOT care for seniors and I just told you why!

every time i walk by the foodbank on college- i see it being abused by multiple races- mostly immigrants and students- i wouldn't limit it to one race - they all have smartphones and nice clothing- they don't have any shame- they just consider it free food and dont care if there is anyone in more need- people who really need the food don't actually have fridges and cupboards to store everything these people are carting out with - so i think the whole format of these food banks is ineffective- better to just serve meals to the homeless who are just looking for some lunch to survive the day- not these entitled scammers

Many companies are supporting the food bank as the old days. We have a lot canadians unemployed who are now struggling. Look at the guy in fresco on eglinton waiting for good shoppers to help him for food for his kids. We see it alot cause the food banks to have any more. How are the leaders helping out n how much r they donating? U don't see them as volunteers u don't see them contributing. U only see using the issues in their discussion but no solutions but yet they allow to many people in the country n now they want canadians to support awhile canadians an bearly support their own familys 😮 it's sad how company instead of lowering their price they rather trash it. it is better to give food banks money instead of food because a lot of the time people donate the same types of things (like peas and beans) instead a wide variety of things that people actually need. By giving the Food Bank money they can buy a wide variety of items instead of just giving out beans. And Food Banks spend the vast majority of the money they receive on food not on other things.
