+Michael Smith i don't really care, it's a small company, barely a company of two Dutch guys doing this in the evening. Besides, the graphics really work really well, very fitting. So they took an easier route, they probably couldn't afford it otherwise, so there wouldn't be a game, or it would more likely look a lot worse. I do think they should now try an get a better looking board though. Someone handy with photoshop could do better for every bring in an evening I think. Same goes for tokens. I would have made the cards a size smaller seen how that would t be a problem for the illustrations and there isn't much text. Most importantly, I haven't played it, but seen how you can undercut each other and how there are so many ways to play and different board layouts I see high replayability and great tactic possibilities. I also thinks this would probably work great and become more hectic with 3-4 players.

Hey Rahdo, I loved this run through! The term on the bench is a business term used for entry level or junior employees. We use this term where I work. For some context we might set a goal to build the bench, the means we're looking to help junior employees advance in the company. Since the game encourages you to promote your employees I think the term is correct and adds to the thematic flavor. Thought you'd be interested in knowing that. Thanks for all of the run through's.

This is the first splotter game I have bought so I'm by no means drinking the cool aid. However, I like the art work and the board to be honest. If the board was all fancy looking it would clash with the rest of the artwork in the game. This game gives a very 50s vibe and I feel the plain tiles adds to that theme, like something you will see in a game from the 50s. Just my opinion.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe if Jen placed her restaurant in the initial orientation shown the distance from house number 2 would be 1 - the rules state "each tile you traverse..." and only one tile would be traversed.
@PauloRenato239 жыл бұрын
+Robert Woollins I think I'll have to correct you :p The way it works, at least I think it's this way, you are only at 0 distance of the Houses that share the dame tile you have your Restaurant in... So, even in the initial orientation, the tile to the right is at 1 distance despite having a door facing that tile and House 2 is at 2 tiles distance because it has a road connecting.

At 33:07, how could Jen recruit three people? I only count two. Her CEO card is full (no more recruiting from the CEO), but each Recruiting Girl, of which I count two, can recruit one person. Also, I thought the instructions said you run through all of the actions for each person before moving to the next person. Did I mis-read that? (I just got the game, so I'm using your videos to help understand)
@PauloRenato238 жыл бұрын
the CEO being full doesn't have anything to do with the actions he can perform, his card just put's extra slots in the organization to be used by other workers, so yes, she can hire 3 new workers because of the power of the CEO and of each of the Recruiting Girls she has working. Regarding the second question, I think that you do the actions in order like what is in the menu, and for each action you activate all the workers that can perform that action, just like Richard did... If that was wrong I'm sure that a lot of people would have pointed that a long time ago!
@jkalet8 жыл бұрын
Got it, thanks. One more question -- why are there so many milestone cards, per milestone? It seems like once someone claims one, the rest of the cards get turned over. Even after reading the instructions, I'm a little confused. For example, when the card reads "First to sell a burger" does it mean, when it's YOUR first time to sell a burger (meaning other people, if they sell their first burger in that round, could also get the same card) or does it mean that milestone will only be given out once for the entire game (which is why I'm questioning the point of the extra milestone cards). Thanks in advance.
@PauloRenato238 жыл бұрын
The Milestones are awarded for every player that achieves that specific milestone in the same Round... For example, the First to Sell Burguers that you mentioned... If you and I sell Burgers in the same Round and are the first people in the game to sell Burgers we both get the Milestone card... that's why there are multiple cards for each milestone... If I sell burgers now and I was the first player to do it and no one sells burgers in that same round, I'll be the only player to get that Milestone because once some one reaches a Milestone, at the end of the Round those Milestone cards will be turned face down and no one else will be able to get them

I appreciate the time and enthusiasm of your videos. I personally have a hard time following them so I just wanted to share some feedback. It's quite possible it's just me so feel free to ignore these suggestions: 1.) I would avoid trying to combine a how to play/tutorial, with a run-through, with a review. Make separate videos or embed bookmark links in the video where people can jump to what they want. If people have a general idea of the rules already and just want to get into the nitty gritty of how a round works, it's hard to sit through an explanation of each of the cards and why and how etc etc... 2.) I understand wanting control of the camera to control the viewers eyes of where you want them to look. However, it can be very distracting. My recommendation would be to just set it up on a tri-pod. I've seen this on other tutorials and yes, it can look very dry and boring. However, I believe there are inexpensive video editing tools you can draw, circle, add highlights to draw the viewers eyes to areas of interest on the screen. Same goes for your hand. I probably have the brain of a dog or a cat - so I take some responsibility - but my eyes are always diverting to your hand moving at what I can describe as sometimes frantic, in moving around the board. 3.) You talk very fast. Like I said, the enthusiasm is appreciated. But in these complex modern board games, there is a lot for people to take in and adding too much of your own flavor and insights into the mix can make it overwhelming. For example: Explaining the Campaign Manager, then the path to all the things it can be promoted to, which may lead to achieving a particular milestone, which you may only want to do depending on the reserve of the bank, and why one might do that and not this...etc etc. all in the middle of explaining the first round of game play. When things make very clear sense to you, it's very hard to teach or explain to a group who may not be as knowledgeable or savvy. So I understand the challenge. You have an extensive knowledge of board games and mechanics as well as a strong passion for the hobby you clearly enjoy sharing. So I don't want to discourage you from continuing to share or doing your thing. I just wanted to share some honest feedback as I find myself starting your videos and then clicking over and searching for other tutorial/play-through video options. It could be very much just me. Other people seem to have no problem. You won't be able to please everyone at the end of the day so please don't be offended.
