I can say for sure that it’s epic that Queen was used for the opening. Freddie would’ve LOVED to have Bohemian Rhapsody as an opening number and parodied. Freddie was quite the moving force, and he even sang when he was sick (for the show must go on) and KILLED it. He was an absolute inspiration for his time, and the fact that he even said "Do what you want with my music, just don’t make it boring,” is just a big enough blessing for everyone who loves and appreciates his work. No matter how hard someone tries, there will NEVER be another “Bohemian Rhapsody,” just like there will never be another “Don’t Stop Believin’” (even if Steve Perry is no longer with Journey). And Gloria Kaye? It’s odd to hear her go from singing attraction theme songs (horizons, dreamflight, space mountain and of course Walt Disney’s carousel of progress (unload during rotation))to impersonating Cher for this. Joe pizzulo sang for Alien encounter and Magic Journeys and with Gloria for all her Disney works minus dreamflight, but he never got any kind of AA role.

Both Peter Gabriel and Sting DID sign up to sing their songs but were so impressed by Jess Harnell's demos that they just let him do it.

Ok, the attraction and the soundtrack didn't age well at all (it feels too much from the 90s), but at the time it was awesome!! And you gotta give credit to the people that said: "OK, let's make Peter Gabriel a salad, Little Richard a pineapple and Tone Lōc as a nutritional facts bar". For that you gotta be insanely insane!!!
