Food Storage: Honey Stored in Mylar Bags

In this video, we vacuum pack honey in mylar bags to help keep the honey from degrading. Honey will degrade when exposed to light. Sorbent Systems Mylar bag manufacturer in California provided technical support of the type of bag to use.

There is absolutely No need to vacuum seal Honey 🍯.... Just tip in a jar and store it somewhere..... Just make sure it's actually honey 🍯 and not a cheap syrup mix from your nearest chain store 🏬

Hi, we are bee keepers and we do a short vacuum, I like to keep the air out as much as possible.... and you are 100% correct, no need to vacuum pack honey, but do keep the light out as much as possible, mylar or metal lined cans are a good choice for long term storage, TY!!

I just bought a freeze dryer, they DO NOT recommend freeze drying honey, but, you can buy powdered honey from spice companies or other places. We use it in our BBQ rubs, thanks for watching !

Hey Hopper, I bought it from the web restaurant store, they are on eBay as well, very nice machine, I would stay away from the cheaper one I had years ago, this works for all types of items. We do a lot of meats in it too,
