So many new restaurants..It was never like this when I went for the first time to Peru, in 2003. The Peruvian “Miraflores and San Isidro class” ignored for years the amazing Peruvian dishes. It was Gaston Ucurion and his German wife who made Peruvian food to be loved by all Peruvians and since …2012/2013 (for sure after the 2008 banking crisis) boosted the Peruvian cuisine for foreigners

Really nicely done! Also to give others a better perspective Miraflores is the most touristy and therefore priciest district in Lima. There are so many excellent other places where you could potentially even spend a bit less. In fact my family lives in Miraflores and I haven't been to any of the ones you covered. The other shocker for me is the level of service at each and every place. I spent just over a month there earlier this year, 2023, and I couldn't find a single server at either a cafe or restaurant in a sour mood. Also keep in mind that people aren't expected to to tip like here in the USA. In a really nice place you might give a decent tip but at most you'd go no higher than 10%. more like 5-10%. I really enjoyed a cafe around the corner from my mom's place called Rutina. and fell in love with the district of Barranco next to Miraflores.

Esto, es solo una pequeña muestra de la Gastronomía Peruana, al parecer solo le han mostrado la parte del Distrito de Miraflores, que no es muy representativa de nuestra Gastronomía. Debió ir a los sitios donde verdaderamente esta la Gastronomía Peruana, lo que muestra es más que todo comida rápida. Te recomiendo que veas algunos videos, para que te guie donde van para saborear la Gastronomía Peruana.

Thank you for tuning in! In Lima, Peru, several fantastic restaurants have received a Michelin Star. In the year 2023, Lima was quite unique because it was the only city where two of its restaurants made it to the top 10 list out of the 50 best restaurants. Central took the number one spot, and Maido secured the sixth position. Peruvian cuisine is truly one-of-a-kind, and if you're someone who loves food and exploring new tastes, then visiting Lima is a definite must. 😊😊😊
