I’ve never seen mash made like that lol. In the UK we tend to peel all the desired potatoes, chop them up, FILL sauce pan with water bring to the boil until soft and fluffy. Mash with egg, milk and butter then season as you wish. I quite like mine with garlic butter and cream cheese :) xx We only leave skins on baked potato 🥔 😋 xxx

Fill water till above the potatoes and boil for 20mins. Drain, add butter, double cream, salt pepper and Italian herb seasoning and mix. Your mashed potatoes will be soft and delicious
