The thing Megumi was doing with her palm was writing "man/human" on her hand and eating/swallowing it. It's a way taught to kids to not feel nervous by an audience by swallowing them instead of being swallowed. She's adorable and it's a running thing for her. Pairing up with such a confident person like Souma is just what she needed. The endings are actually pretty good. The very first one is super addicting.

Despite the ecchi scenes, I actually love food wars so much because along with major great competition moments this is one of the rare shows that you can actually get well knowledge from its theme : food dynamics, new meals,cooking methods and many many more about food.

10:04 "bœuf burguignon" isn't "fancy" in France, that's a rather long dish to make (but with simple ingredients) that French people generally eat with family or friends (because it's quite a big dish). On the other hand, yes, outside of France, ordering one at a restaurant will be fancy.

I'm not sure if some of these methods are actually possible or not but some of them are actually usable in real life and this is kind of a spoiler so I won't say much but Erina (the blonde girl) doesn't actually hate Soma (our main character that's his name) atleast not later on in the series 😅

@@SardonicVida Yeah Yuki Morisaki and they were all realistic in theory, just exaggerated in the show. She even produced books with the recipes from the show. Chef Paul on KZbin recreated a lot of the dishes from the show and talks about how they stood up. I don't know if they are still up unfortunately. (He even recreated some of the squid dishes that Souma gives Megumi lmao)
