We would like to thank ATHA, who sells puffed grains on the move in Kyoto, for his cooperation.
It seems that the origin of puffed grains is in the United States.
In Japan, there are various names depending on the region.
There are Bakudan, Don, Bomb Hail, Hadeko, Patrice, and Hachagumi.
We will deliver a video of the bursting (explosion) scene of the nostalgic puffed grain and how to make it.

That was so interesting to watch. The pressure the rice must be under in the cooker is insane! When l was a child there were no fancy breakfast cereals available but in the 1970s we could buy puffed rice. I LOVED it but, it wasn't sweetened like this stuff is and we ate it with milk. Is this just eaten like a candy or is it used as an ingredient?

wow that looks so complicated, in india they use furnace a large sieve with handle, the sieve holes must be big enough for sand and small for puffed rice, that's it, heat the sand then place the sieve on utensil and heat sand in it so utensil holds the sand not once sand heated up throw rice on it it will immediately turns into puffed rice now just lift the sieve the sand will be fall into utensil and sieve will filled up with puffed rice.
