shes had a few hits in a short amount of time life events. isnt it strange how things happen? one thing i learned and i'm not trying to take away from the hurt but, life goes on. some people do compartmentalize in order to move on, doesnt mean you dont miss them, not sure if she believes but they never leave.i've had some crazy stuff happen here where both my mother and step father passed, i'm not sure which one is messing with me.

I depression slept from 2013 to when the pandemic began. I lived my life isolated so everyone suddenly being at the stores when I was, was very strange. You’re doing a kickass job, what I find helps me when I’m overwhelmed emotionally is to channel it into something positive. It’s all energy, you feel morbidly depressed? Get as stoned as you can and do something productive. I’m not saying you’re not allowed to depression sleep, I’m just saying honestly it’s so satisfying getting something done and then coming down from the emotional breakdown.

I don't think I've commented here before, so, hello. I lost my mum 11 years ago. For the first week I was spending time with supportive family and friends and half the time I was zonked out on sleeping meds. You do whatever you need to do to deal with your own grief. Everyone is different. For me, I also wanted to do something to make mum proud so I went for an entrance exam to go to uni again. Things can also get complicated and affect your ability to grieve in a healthy way: A month later things got ugly with the step family concerning mum's estate. You're not obligated to anyone else, you don't need to explain it to anyone else. If they're not understanding they can f-off. If anyone stands in your way, roll over them with no remorse. Not trying to make it about me, I am just trying to convey my understanding in a thoughtful way 😊 take care of yourself.

Please, listen to your body and mind and let it tell you what it needs. I’m sure you’ve held a lot of stress in, and your body now needs to rest. I know this will be called trauma dumping, and you can delete it if you want. Hospice has been called for my father. He doesn’t have much time left. I had to stop at a store to buy him underwear and I also bought myself some Christmas leggings, socks, and earrings. Then I got in my car and felt like the worst person alive. How could I think of Christmas, when my father is in and out of consciousness. I finally found a primary dr, who I love. And a psychiatrist and psychologist just jumped into my life. My psychologist told me today that things are coming together for me. But how can I be happy about anything.😭 I don’t usually make it to a live in time, but I watch all your videos/lives. Please know you’re not alone. This Gorl Gang loves you, and if you need to make a live to talk about YOU, we would be here to support you. No matter what. Take care of you.❤

I live alone with 3 cats, and 2 birds... I spent $175 in groceries this week. Some of that was delivered fees. I still don't feel like I bought anything to eat lol I am under 300lbs. I bought a lot of fresh veggies and high-quality proteins to encourage myself to make more salads and healthy meals. I really need to figure out a budget. I am on ozempic... so I couldn't binge if I wanted to. It makes your stomach smaller like WLS. I can only eat once a day.

Hey Anna, I personally like to cook a whole chicken(usually less expensive) and use the legs for a meal(maybe with some noodles and veggies), the breasts I often use for spicy pulled chicken in wraps and a lot of veggies, or I make a huge salad spread for on bread with it, or grill the breasts with grilled veggies and a nice yogurt dip. Oven dishes are also a great way to get a lot of veggies in. Any veggies going bad, I try to make a sauce or soup out of it. I live on a certain budget as well (as many of us do) so I have to be very creative with my dishes. Oh and I love that you have so many fur babies, my two furry felines say hi! 🐈🐈‍⬛😊

Now I think my spending is partly psychological of being scared of not having food. 2020 didn't help because the stores were sold out of food here due to hoarding. I now buy things like crab, ribeye steaks, and anything that will keep me from ordering doordash like Amberlynn. I have the money. So I just toss it. Bad habit. I got so bored with chicken at every meal.

The best explanation for grief that I've come across and I work in hospice, so I've heard a lot: Picture a box with a button on the inside of it that represents "grief" and also inside that box, in the beginning, a big ball that takes up most of the box. Every time that box moves (meaning maybe a memory pops in your head or a special event happens) that ball is hitting that button, you're feeling grief/sadness. As time goes on that big ball gets a little bit smaller, So it doesn't hit the button all the time, just here and there, so a wave of grief hits. The ball and the button never go away. The ball has just gotten smaller, that's why even years down the road, that ball can hit the button and a wave of grief can hit you out of nowhere. Hope that makes sense. Hugs to you.

I agree with you about the plums, Frenchie! The last good plum I had was picked from the two plum trees in our yard back home in Texas, 35+ years ago. I tried buying a few this season…after one bite, I tossed out the rest. Same holds true for peaches, oranges, nectarines, tomatoes, etc. Everything is picked too early and not allowed to ripen/sweeten on the trees or is just flavorless blah. It’s just a waste of money at this point. Thinking about you, FFG. I know it’s hard to see it right now but things will eventually ease. We cocoon ourselves, we continually fight with our own feelings amd the reality we are facing in order to try to protect ourselves,that in itself can be exhausting and aide depression. Please never be afraid to do what is necessary to help yourself. Self care is vital. Support from others is also important. Never be afraid to reach out for help. That’s what I did when my moms passed went crazy and got memorial tattoos for her and the grams and great grams, they mean a lot for me not sorry I did it. When you get your house think of a memorial garden or quiet space in memory of your mom there are lots of things to do. Another doggo? HelLa YES! Do you.

Oh Frenchie, I’m so sorry. I know exactly how you feel. When I lost my dad, I didn’t know what to do. And I had to take care of my mother and my son and plan the funeral, but that was a bit of a distraction. Once all the distractions were gone, I fell apart. As far as you and the legos, I did puzzles. Take your time and take care of yourself! Spend time with your dad and don’t forget to take your own time to cry and do WHATEVER YOU NEED. I Can say from experience, the pain NEVER GOES AWAY BUT it does become bearable. WE LOVE YOU!!! ❤❤❤❤

I SURVIVED NAP GATE 23! But in all seriousness, FFG- you do what you need to do for you and your family. You’re all in the middle of one of the most devastating life events possible. I’ve been through things a lot of people can’t even imagine exists but what you’re dealing with right now is truly my biggest fear in life. You can only process how you can process and you can only cope how you can cope. I also do the trauma sleeping thing it’s like your brain has just had enough and switches everything off. Please don’t apologise. We can all empathise and relate and those who are lucky enough to not know first hand they are still able to feel and have compassion. Take what time you need, do what you need to do or don’t do what you don’t… gorl gang will all still be in the fry basket when you’re up to doing KZbin. Your mental and emotional well-being are far more important than youtube and definitely far more important than that awful lump of lard!

Re: walking barefoot in floodwater - terrible idea, very easy to cut your foot, and the water would be full of very nasty bacteria/parasites. Especially for someone her size, and for someone who is diabetic, an infection from something like that could be very very serious. Re: cream - where I live, it's common to get little 3 packs of 20cl of UHT cream, usually not heavy cream but the lighter stuff. I always have one of those in my cupboard, just in case (for quiche, creamy sauces etc.) and even 20cl I'll sometimes end up throwing away half the carton (or less) because I cook for 2 so will use a small amount in a dish and might not use the rest before it goes bad. And that's UHT cream! What she picked up might be UHT too but it was like a litre, at least half a litre. She's using a lot of cream.
