The method of cooking quinoa groats. A step-by-step recipe for how to simply cook quinoa.
We used:
Quinoa - 1 turk
Water - 1.5 Turks
Salt - 8 g
Butter - 20 g
It is enough to wash the cinema once from dirt and dust.
If you do not like the herbaceous taste of the grain, soak it in water for 4 hours, then rinse it again and then cook.
So, the already clean grain is thrown into a saucepan and dried over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Fill in the water. The ratio of quinoa to water is 2:3.
Instead of water, you can use vegetable, chicken or fish broth.
Salt it.
Bring to a boil.
Cover with a lid and reduce the heat to 80 ° C (this is slow).
Cook for 15 minutes under the lid, remove from heat and let stand for another 5 minutes.
A little butter at the end.
Quinoa goes well with fish, seafood, and baked vegetables. They are also eaten chilled, added to salads or as an appetizer.
