@@FoodZpah There's a small little cafe near gariahat called tintin and brussels. Went there last year, loved the steak and lasagna, maybe you could give that a try? :D or perhaps a mini series on pice hotels around kolkata? Also, thank you for the gesture, means a lot.

Used to go there in the mid 60s for the Sunday Jam Sessions which were immensely popular. Had to go early to get a table. Great music, good food and beer or coffee/cappuccino. Left Calcutta (as I knew it) in 1969 and haven't been to Trinca's since. This brings back fond memories of teenage years.

Saame here. The last time was in '65. Haven't been to Cal since. Didn't the Puri family own the place. The other joint for jazz sessions was " The Golden Slipper". Oh those were the days. A school friend from Cal was Ainsley Bonner who played beautiful sax

@@minoosethna4615 The Puri family I knew did not own it. May have been another. Interesting how we still refer to it as Cal. I remember The Golden Slipper as well. Most of the musicians were Anglo-Indians who were very good. Moulin Rouge had a good singer named Delilah (?).

If you like restaurants more than fancy cafes then definitely check this place… One of the finest restaurant in Kolkata… You will love the subtle vintage ambience of this place with live retro music… Trincas gave me the vive of old-age restaurant with new edition… This is one of the most historic restaurant, standing tall since 1939... There is a nostalgia vive to this place which goes with the decor and ambience…

This heritage series is just mind blowing... Every time contemplating what's next while watching FoodZpah vlog and we are never disappointed. Trincas reminds me of my school days when dad used to take me and my cousins for chinese.. Tried kebabs here recently but looking forward to try drumsticks here.. Lobster looks awesome 👌.. Thai curry is always perfectly made but the Chilly roast lamb here is ❤❤ The chello kebab here is just 😍😍😍 Very well covered and must agree that their coffees are really good... It would not be a bad idea to do a separate vlog of Ming Room...but I reckon that many of the items in the menu are common to both Trincas and Ming Room. It's impossible to do a video during evenings for Trincas due to the live music but at Ming it's perhaps possible as the volume that you get there is less. One more thing - - - I may have missed the point, but what was so "shocking " about the history of Trincas ?
