Memories flooded back. So overcome by emotion from past evenings spent with my family at Trincas. As a North American Bengali girl who was blessed to live in Kolkata for quite a number of years, your videos bring me to joyful, nostalgic tears and I must make sure I’m alone with a box of tissues when I do watch. Thank you for your incredible Bengali artistic sensibilities. Nuance is everything. There is so much of it in your work here. Also, I appreciate you didn’t do a voiceover narration, not everything needs explanation. ❤️❤️❤️

I was sitting right next to your table on this day with my husband celebrating our marriage anniversary on 11th of December at our favourite restaurant in city. I was overwhelmed to see you both in person.

Lovely series and beautiful presentation A true labor of love. Tiny suggestion - Maybe at key moments when the food is King, like when the cutlet is cut open, maybe you could keep the camera on the food, instead of switching to the singer. After all it's a foodie show 😀👍

I am a third generation probashi and never had the privilege to spend any decent amount of time in Kolkata. Unfortunately my introduction to the city has mostly been via the various media coverages which have not really been flattering. Your films (yes thats what they are), the sensibilities, the pitch... everything has the essence of what the city really is. And thanks for introducing me to Trinca's and Willie's Quartet :-)

This was nothing short of a mini movie. Something from the noir genre where you expect something sinister to happen at the scene. Only sinister thing that happened is of course how you gorged on all that glutton. Super impressive in terms of capturing the very mood that takes us back to such places time and again and indeed this video did that , maybe even more, for me.

This is probably the most enjoyable episodes that I've watched! Absolutely fascinating to watch what goes on in the kitchen... the actual techniques involved in the making of this iconic dish. Hats off to you guys for always coming up with such spot on perfect videos... and this time the charming music in it made it even more special!

I was actually waiting for this series! You had stated before that you wanted to go behind the scenes of some restaurants and also local markets, but Covid stalled the plan. I have never been to Trincas because I left Kolkata at a fairly young age.. so this recipe will definitely come to use! ❤️

Your filmmaking is so organic, it's hard to believe neither of you have a background in this. Great work! I'm always afraid that with my generation many of the old recipes will be lost to time (I'm no better) though it's not my grandma's recipe, you guys are there to safe guard such dishes
