65, me i am 66. I miss the old days with such groups like supertramp, genesis, pink floyd, jethro tull and many more.At 1971 i was at Fehmarn. In a concert with Jimi Hendrix. 3 days later the trouble at home was idiotic. But now they are all dead, Grandpa, grandma,ma and pa. And in the 70 ies i lost many good friends. All overdosed by heroin. Hope there will not come WWW3. General Kujat says they must stopp sending weapons. In German TV he is not interviewed. He says the war will get WWW3. But Switzerland still interviews him. He was the highest General of Germany and für a time the highest of the NATO. I hope peace will come. For me it is not so important. But for young guys ! I wish You all the very best -and much luck. General Kujat is on YT.

Without question, "Fool's Overture" should be considered one of the greatest musical compositions of the 20th century. Roger Hodgson's epic masterpiece played here with a live orchestra is an example of the extraordinary creative results that are possible in the realm of music when cosmic level inspiration touches a talented human being. Sadly, real music like this is no longer "allowed" to be published or released to mass audiences and the results have been disastrous, given the noise pollution that is now regularly heard on pop music radio.

I was around 19 when I caught the Supertramp bug. Hodgson's infectious optimism and faith in the human spirit resonated deeply during that otherwise dark time, with Vietnam in full insanity mode and Watergate looming on the horizon. Who could have imagined that things would get even worse four decades later? It is so gratifying that Hodgson has has kept his voice and energy, and that younger generations immediately get him, and that he continues to sell out concert halls around the world. Maybe there is hope after all.

One of the most underrated groups and music of our time, Supertramp is still relevant today, I can sing the words to all the songs, I have the records from the 70's the CD's from the 80's and now the downloads and streams. Timeless music that stirs feelings from deep inside. I remember buying Famous Last Words in 1982 and flogging it to death on my record player. I've never really stopped listening, my two year old would sing along to the Supertramp songs I played in my car, while he was strapped into the child seat in the back of the car. "And the blindness goes on." Roger you are bloody amazing and your voice is unsurpassed, no one else but you could ever sing these songs.

In my early years Supertramp was one of my favourites but I lost touch with them for the last 30 odd years until I came across Roger's work a couple of years ago by accident. Wow! what fantastic compositions, voice and all round music. Sorry I missed him all those years.

This piece always struck me as a suite of complementary "tunes." Lends itself very well to an orchestral treatment.

The Moody Blues, Sir George Martin and Alan Parsons sent me here. What a true masterpiece! Great composition/great musicianship/great lyic -- all around! This world needs more music such as this! Cheers and Heaven's best to Roger H and to all those associated with this magnificent sound!

All the time in my earlier years during the late 70s onwards the music of Supertramp always pulled you to one side of what ever was going on and listen to a feel good song that stayed with you all day,it's always there now,it occurs and is reoccurring, that's what carefully delivered music does, love Supertramp.

Anyone else see the Glass piano they used in the 70's. C.N.E. Stadium in Toronto. I was front row floors. Amazing show with Chuck Mangione as back up. One of the best concerts that I have ever seen and believe me I saw a lot of bands. 103 dislikes give me a break, open your eyes and ears and your minds LOL.

I too, listened to all Supertramp songs during my teen years, marriage and raising my kids. My kids LOVED it when I threw an "Album" on while they were going "na-night". I still listen to all of it. Great music which brought great memories and joy.

This was written when music was REAL MUSIC. In 1979 saw Supertramp in Winnipeg. Breakfast in America Tour and I was 16 years old. Child of Vision was the best song on the album. Amazing keyboards. Inspiring music and the music in the 70's helped me achieve success in my life that I thought was not possible.
