I typically dislike these server-factions wars because I feel like it always divides the community in a toxic way while not innovating the game any further... HOWEVER, this Hermitcraft war was how an actual server-wide faction war should be pulled off. They created traps (and responses to the traps) with revolutionary mechanics never done before, they created aesthetically-intimidating bases, and each move kept everyone on the edge of their seat until the climatic finale. It really just shows how Hermitcraft is easily one of the greatest servers in the history of this game.

I still feel like the community got a little insane at some points. I really hope they do this again and next time they should all set some very clear rules for the conflicts so people don't get so uptight about it. I’m gonna do my history assignment on the causes of the Hermitcraft War.

Octave I think I still remember everything, here goes. Mumbo died AFK to phantoms. Mumbo AFKed again so Grian and Iskall pranked him with an obsidian cage, Mumbo had no pickaxe so he had punch his way through but they gifted him the fork of friendship. Mumbo to thank them put shulker boxes full fireworks inside obsidian with signs telling them not to use a pick. Iskall didn’t listen so Mumbo gave him a chest full of diorite that Iskall couldn’t destroy as punishment. Iskall uses the diorite to prank False with a giant chicken pooping on False’s roof, he put a sign so False would know it was Iskall. Before False saw it Cleo changed the sign so it looked like Ren pranked Flase instead. False gets angry at ren and asks Grian to help her prank ren with a roller coaster that ends up killing ren. False and Ren realize what happens and prank Iskall with a giant diorite cake. To get revenge on Cleo for causing all the trouble Doc, Ren and Impulse build a ghost ship right next to Cleo’s ship with a death trap. Mysterious person delivers a book to Grian telling him to check out the ship. Grian dies to the trap and decides to get revenge on Doc and Ren (he didn’t know Impulse was involved at the moment) Grian and Tango make the stock exchange heist disguised as False and Mumbo. They mess with Doc’s bush. Xisuma goes to the stock exchange to sell his stocks, later Wels does too but Doc and Ren can’t pay them so they ask for their help against Grian and his allies. Cleo and Joe prank Impulse with the hall of redemption (something like that) Everyone is trying to figure out who is on which side, war rooms start to emerge. The official teams form, they make a ceasefire until their bases are built. Grian tells Mumbo to join team star as a Mole. Mumbo is literally the worst Mole ever and gets kicked out of team star without his mustache. That’s pretty much everything I think. I’m still wondering who got Grian killed instead of Cleo

Oh and at the end of Iskall’s war end video he reveals he was the one who got Grian killed. If it wasn’t for Iskall the prank war probably would have ended with Cleo’s death more than a month ago so Iskall was the real double agent all along

It was a genius idea whoever invited him/vouched for him/however he was chosen/allowed to enter the hermit ranks. I only saw portions of season 4 and 5 and only watched Mombu and Wels, but this season seems to have somewhat more action than the last two. If I am wrong feel free to correct me

While Hermitcraft Season 5 was a perfect representation of anarcho-communism, I think this season shows a good representation of anarcho-capitalism. Businesses rise, people resort to theft constantly to satisfy their needs, vicious war breaks out over resources, and then finally when the last cannons fire, the only winner was the Con Corporation the whole time. Truly beautiful.

Honestly I was cheering for G team, but thought team Star would win. (I mean they have False (Best PvPer on the server), Doc (Who is very good at mob player detectors from season 5) and a massive Ghast cannon.) I guess you should never underestimate Grian's trickery. MY favorite episode is Mumbo's prospective, because he dies in so many ways.

I think the addiction of Grian along with the shopping area and island theme of this season made it as exciting as it has ended up being. Grian helped bring everyone out of their "shells", brought about the tag game, and had a large part in starting and continuing the civil war. The island theme and the shopping area really presented a great opportunity for hermits to interact with each other. Honestly this is one of the best seasons i have seen

My favorite series, by far, throughout the whole series was Cubfan and Scar's reactions and ability to basically own the whole server. Cub was lost for a little while without Scar, but quickly made up for it when Scar came back. Definitely a dynamic duo! Iskall85's war perspective was the best with Mumbo and Stress. Overall, Grian won- the server is a way better, more fun, place with him part of it. Definitely an epic series of collabs that I'm bummed has ended.

I can't shake off the feeling that someone messed up counting STAR Team's lives... Especially after Con Corp put op their commentator place thing. But whatever, everything was super fun anyway! My favourite battle was the first one, with it's chaos and crazy weapons it made me remember good old minecraft days, with it's old wars. I always knew G Team would win! I will miss the war with all it's craziness...

The Hermitcraft Civil War was some of the best KZbin I have watched in years, I'm going to miss it, but it helped me find a lot of new people to watch, so I'm excited to see what they have in store for us now that they'll have more time for their own builds
